wrong drugs.... i think. again, i can't remember. LOL

i also remember fighting with hubby and fleeing in my car, and stopping in middle of road, abandoning car.... cuz it was like driving underwater. while it seemed i had driven for miles with no actual vision..... apparently i never left the driveway. LOL

Geez- and pot is illegal??? I never once hallucinated - wow- serious stuff they give for teeth!

Re the once again in english - crackers with mayonnaise - chocolate frosties - munchies- the incredible desire to eat and the amazing taste of food when under the influence of pot -- Mickey D's - slang for McDonalds - getting lost - typical side effect-

I can't type with or with out mind altering substances. And it has been a very long time, btw, so I have no excuse for my lack of typing skills.

i think the real reason it all went wonky is cuz i drank a few margueritas with the pain meds.... you see, i had dry sockets, and i couldn't eat, and so i decided to do the straw diet, and well, i went to my SIL to recover, and she thought it would be fiun to play cards, and you can't play cards without some drinks now can you, and then..... well....i think you can see how it all progressed.

A little late but no crawdad comment gets by me with out reminding me what a bad idea it is to combine crawdads, Resses Peanut butter cups and Jack Daniel's...

erp...yikes. That must have been pretty awful coming back up. Since we're confessing, tuna sandwiches, chocolate pudding and Cuervo Gold is also a horrible, horrible lesson that you don't want to learn the hard way.

Just trust me. You don't want to.

YIKES to the two of you!

OK...I am seeing a pattern here of seafood, chocolate and alcohol. Now, on the face of it, that should be quite a good combination - think champagne, lobster and chocolate mousse, for example. But, apparently there are loopholes to this theory.

Well, I am sending you more hugs for the duration. :)

And you know, that expression "que sera, sera" - from the movie, "The Man Who Knew Too Much"?? It's a completely made up phrase:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whatever_Will_Be,_Will_Be_(Que_Sera,_Sera) .

And now, I have Doris Day singing in my head!! :eek:Sigh...today's earworm.

Much of the area is still without power. Most parishes are allowing people to return but they are warning everyone there is no power, no water, very few stores open. New Orleans Airport has reopened. We are still under periodic tornado watches because of the unsettled weather. This will likely be my last report since I am not "essential" personel and they need to free up desk space for other people to use.

Thank you to everyone for your support and friendship. Lets not forget that we have Hannah, Ike and Josephine all warming up and headed to the US. My prayers and support go out to anyone likely to be affected by those storms.

Morning Thread- as for que sera, sera- makes perfectly good sense. Not sure how it is made-up. It expresses a certain fatalism and at the same time hope. Like don't worry be happy- 'cause you cannot change what will be. That's how I have always seen it :) Half full/ half empty.

it happened when my wisdom teeth were pulled. i am told i even worked and drove and all sorts of other things i don't remember that week.

I 'member when I was a first life kid gettin some tooth stuff done, an th' dentist had jes gotten nitrous an did't know entirely what he was doin with it. So he gave nitrous in order to get me ready f'r the novacaine shot, an a bit more after before he started to work. Those were some interesting hallucinations.

I hadda make my own way home after, and from all I gather I fell several times getting there. I never felt it, though.

Right now, I have the music from th' Dr. Horrible soundtrack stuck in my mind

An have I said g'mornin yet? No? Well then...

G'mornin!

All the talk of moths lately made me think of th' moth temple in Iris, so I stopped back by. No news on my JIRA ticket on gettin the old moth lamps back -- but Prokofy Neva has been workin on his land next to the temple, and has put in one of those old lamps.

He also has the old moth wing attachment, too, so I got a copy of it while I could. :-)

I still have my wisdom teeth, and my tonsils for that matter. I think my dentist has finally given up on trying to talk me into ripping them out.

Why does your dentist want to rip out your tonsils?
