Hi to everyone else.

Ok.. I have big concerns about this forum and the way Katt is handling stuff in the burning life thread. There are questions and comments being voiced in the forum discussion thread that are not being addressed. Specificaly if you go to this link and scroll down to post 157 and it begins to voice what I am thinking. Jesse's post (159) raises a concern with me I had not known before about the security of this forum and the easy hackability of our SL accounts because of it.

I have grown very very very attatched to you all since coming back.. but I have many reservations about posting here under the present mentality of Katt and security issues. I am going to wait and see what the official policies are when they are posted and go from there. There is too much in flux right now and moderating being made up as she goes and that is concerning to me.

So, I am taking an official forums break until things are addressed and I see which end is up. I may check back and comment some but I won't be active like I was. Semi-break may be accurate lol.

Anyway.. I am over at that other spot. You can reach me there if you need me. Mac won't be in world too much either but my email is hooked up to my IMs so you can get me that way too. PMs here will be very slow for repsonse as I will be logging in here very limited, so don't think I am purposely not answering you if you PM me here. SL is becoming less and less attractive to me every single day. *sigh*

Mac, you are pretty much echoing my thoughts. I'm not interested in Burning Life in and of itself, but the censoring in that discussion area is disturbing. It is akin to not allowing comments in the blog, moving status announcements off the blog, etc. An attempt to shut out any discourse, or negative commenting. It is a trend that will evntually work it's way through the entire forum I believe.

As for the forum itself, I've abandoned all hope that it will be changed for the better. As Jesse said, it has been in this state far too long. No company with any sense of business would allow it. Not pimping SLU, but that forum is maintained, updated, and moderated *quite well, in my opinion* by ONE PERSON, who's financial resources I'm sure are not as great as LL's. They've given us lip service about the forum for too long.

Katt may be sincere, she may be just following marching orders, she may be a petty dictator, or maybe she is, as someone suggested , a place holder for any Linden to administer the forum. I don't know, and I don't care any more. Let this forum crumble into a pile of dust , I won't shed a tear. Beyond this loony bin of a thread, there is nothing in it for me any more.The same tired dozen or so SL topics are brought out over and over, and they turn into arguments and flamefests like alwys, except the humor is gone. Where there was joking derailments and the train would slip off the track, now it just plummets off the cliff due to the meaness and bitterness.

In any event I'm fully convinced that LL are incompetent bullshitters as a company, and the best chance for SL to survive beyond what it is now, if at all would be for them to sell it to someone who knows what they are doing.
