Just to say I won't be around as much, although I will try to help keep the Thread on page 1 after America has gone to bed.

Sorry - new and exciting? Not really. Warning stickers? Apparently, although I have pretty much behaved myself on this thread. But the slovenly illiteracy and childlike (pace the child avs who in their rp are mature beyond their years) demands of many participators with IQs below room temperature or indistinguishable cultural deficiencies, together with supporters who believe they are well balanced because they have chips on both shoulders, mean that I won't be participating in the forums outside this thread. Although I personally would quite happily post uncomfortable truths until banned, the problem is that, much as I enjoy the badinage on this thread, I have probably already alienated several regular Threadies who have longer established squatters' rights here; so, to avoid upset, I won't be participating as fully here either, particularly where those with a different sense of humour from mine are involved. I am not, however, going to worry too much about those who claim not to understand me, because by definition they can't be either insulted or amused. And don't worry guys, I am apparently getting partnered off ("Yes dear" ![]() I should also say a public apology to Amaranthim, who encouraged me to come along here, and who I will have disappointed. Pep (Here today, gone tomorrow) Hi Pep, I'm actually not sure I should be in here, although I think I'm on so many mute lists that not many would notice me anyway. I'm guessing that this posting is related to the slight panning you took on Marianne's thread. I was surprised by your outburst there and wanted to berate you myself, but I'm a recovering Troll so just walked away on that one. At the end of the day, isn't everything relative. IQ's and communication skills particularly? We're all "relatively" intelligent, and "relatively" able to express ourselves. Hell, even Newton put his cerebral talents into context when he talked about "standing on the shoulders of giants". I admit, I do enjoy a bit of a Troll, but unless directly attacked, I do try to mess around with the argument rather than the person. You do seem "relatively" intelligent and "relatively" competent at expressing yourself, and I'm surprised that someone as bright as you (albeit I admit a bit self-conscious in your need to prove it all the time) doesn't see that the real responsibility is on the person who regards themself as superior, to use that talent to reach out and understand.. rather than mock. Anyway, I'll run off now because I'm sure security are on their way to evict me.. ![]() Don't go throwing your toys out the pram and leave. At the end of the day you seem pretty popular and even on your worst days are always going to be "relatively" more popular than me.. ![]() B |

I would be grateful if anybody with anything to say to me personally could do it via PM so that I can deal with your comments privately and it doesn't bother the good people of the Thread.

It's amazing how a picture like that can randomly form on top of a cup of coffee.

Hi Pep,
I tried to respond to your IM but your inbox is full. I'll stick something here if I may without directly referencing your IM.. for obvious reasons. You've obviously not looked at my posting history, or the RL details I've given out about myself. Either activity would probably indicate that I'm neither particularly PC nor do I work in a "socially focused" environment. Although, to be honest I'm not sure at what point either of those traits became amenable to pejorative use. My only gripe with you is this quite high handed perspective you have. This idea that you are able to judge a person's level of perceptual ability by means of their input to a Forum, and having done so you feel you have the right to then "educate" them in the school of "Pep". Call this a straw man argument or not, I'll use it anyway. 100 years ago Stephen Hawking's intellect would have been trapped within a failing body with no means of clear communication to the outside world. Are you really suggesting that because of your failure to interpret any attempt he made to communicate with you, that you would really have gained nothing from using your comparatively diminutive intellect to try? Either way, I suspect this is one of those situations where you won't change your mind. Oh, and as an aside.. you may be relatively articulate, but you may want to work on your ability to influence. Insulting someone and then asking for a favour.. doesn't generally work. B |

For the record, I am naked right now. Carry on. As usual, pix or it isn't happening ![]() Here's something I took yesterday for the guys (ok, maybe some of the girls too, don't want to leave anyone out). Not naked, but quite enticing. Found the location while doing a hunt. Got very involved in taking pictures instead. Some guy, in broken english tried to ask me if I wanted to be his model during this. I thoiught, perhaps it was a line. Well. I crashed. Came back to finish my work, and every bit of the equipment was GONE! Apparently, I must have been using someones (HIS????) stuff! Too bad, because there he had a lot more wonderful posed furniture to take advantage of ![]() More on my flickr page, lots more, if anyone cares to look. http://www.flickr.com/photos/elora_lunasea/ ![]() _____________________
