Good compromise. I've never been camping. I did tell a friend recently I'd like to try doing that, and he was pretty excited because he hadn't done this in a great many years. Of course, I didn't think of that aspect of it when I said it sounded fun  Then again, I have used those "facilities" in my hey day (some worse that were indoors, ZOMG CBGB's infamous toilet!), so I suppose I could if I had to.

Every time I went camping we were the ones who saw that rarely seen bear/cougar/coyote, etc.

Morgaine needs something stronger and a bit fancier me thinks. Maybe in a nice cut crystal glass, sparkly, with some light beams spraying out of it.

If all else fails, a shot of Jack Daniels might do the trick. But I haven't seen a with a glass of beer in her hands yet.

Plus she didn't say she wanted to play bingo...

I obviously misunderstood "just need a few drinks and bingo" . . .

That would be my luck. I'm in NJ, there are bears here for sure and some other animals with big teeth and nasty claws lurking here and there. He's in Maryland. I don't think there are any such critters around those parts. Maybe, we'd get bit by a few crabs?

New Jersey...hmmmm.....

Is sharp teeth and claws some sort of euphemism for gangsters?

Muwahahaha! Yea, the Bears and Claws gang hehe. New Mafia group that hangs out in the Pine Barrens. Instead of using guns, they gather up berries and sticks and toss them at each other shrieking wildly.

You know, NJ isn't just the parkway and turnpike contrary to popular belief :p

Thanks Trout! I feel more comfortable already. Maybe you could give me a list of the ladies I should avoid? Or is there a maximum (minimum?) Trout rating I should stay within for the time being?

There some sharp clawed critters up there (up there to me down here in Virginia). Why the other day I looked inside the mouth of a possum and noticed just how sharp his teeth were. 'Course he was playing dead, but still.

My mother is forcing us to go to the woods for the next 3 days. There is no Internet.
Take lots of small white pebbles with you in your pockets, to leave a trail behind you. If you fall asleep under a tree and wake up to find your mother gone, whatever you do, DON'T go looking for houses made of sweets and gingerbread...

Don't avoid any of them! They are all wonderful. Even the ones that act all tough and intimidating are just complete sweethearts on the inside.

Possums are seriously creepy. Concentrated evil with lots of sharp edges. About 5 years ago I was lying on the floor with my son playing, and I was right next to the door to the deck. This door was almost all glass. It was pitch dark outside.

I glanced over for some reason, and there was a huge possum, paws up on the window, teeth bared, just looking at me, about two feet from my face.

I swear, if my heart was any weaker, I would have died right there. I came completely unglued. It must have been hilarious for everyone in the room except me.

It would have one name on it. She knows who she is. The only person on my mute list. I'd be shocked if most people here had a hard time guessing her name.

I wouldn't avoid any of the other ones. I'm serious. What an incredible group of women we have here. Pretty good group of guys, too.

Haven't a clue Trout- and don't want to know- can't imagine any one finding a way to get on your bad side that badly.

And thanks for my little bit of that nice stuff :)

Re the possum- hehe- sorry but that's just funny :)

Really? No clue? She's not really on my bad side, just on my frustrated side. She says such painfully stupid and offensive things that I just can't bear to look at her posts.

However, she's an extreme case. I'm pretty tough to offend usually. I don't care if people disagree with me. I can still respect their positions. And you were a big bit of that nice stuff, not just a little one.

The possum story is funny now. Actually, it was funny then, as soon as I stopped hyperventilating and climbed out from behind the couch. I still hate possums, though.

One of my most embarrassing moments... In a serious meeting with 5 other people, when I looked down and saw a HUGE roach crawling up my leg.... Really, the end doesn't bear repeating... involving screaming, levitation, and jumping up and down. I'm lucky they didn't cart me away. I've never been able to go back into that conference room without getting creeped out.
