hot air balloons are also not very loved by SL. :(

Yeah, thats true too! Hmm ... isn't there a height limit for these things to affect airborne vehicles? Sim borders are bad enough without the additional hazards.

OK, if you don't want to be completely grossed out, don't read this, but it's pretty interesting...

i can tell you right now, just knowing the url will stop me from reading any further. LOL

i recently watched an movie (sorry, i can't remember the name) that had a part where the bad guy sticks leeches all over himself. it was horrible.

i think we should not judge someone by their type-speak in chat rooms and forums, but by their inner core instead.

I agree wholeheartedly. Typos, dropped capitals and grammatical inelegances are entirely ignorable when the content is comprehensible; I think they show an excitement and a desire to interact without delay (hmmm - is that a spin-off from cybersex experience perhaps) and English has something like a 50% redundancy rate - so you don't need all the letters in all the right places to be comprehensible.

It's just when people don't "get" my jokes I feel so foolish . . .

Been meaning to ask...those lyrics are from the Rod Stewart song "Italian Girls", right? :)

As seen on http://lindenlifestyles.com/

From: someone
As of August 5th, 2008 Linden Lifestyles will no longer be updating active content. The time required to maintain this project simply hasn’t been a luxury we’ve got in pocket these days. The site will continue as a reference archive for existing and new readers, but there will be no new reviews or updates following August 5th. In the past, we have had periods of hiatus and/or slower posting paces, but this time we’re finally pouring the last few drinks, closing the doors and sweeping out the sawdust.

i have issues with swimming in lakes because i am so afraid a fish is gonna rub up on me. *bleah*

I'm pretty sure they can avoid you.

I do a lot of steelhead fishing around here (surprised? didn't think so), and one river in particular, the Kalama, has a King (Chinook) salmon run that comes in right before the steelies. Salmon spawn, then die, and before they finally die they're pretty horrible. They're blind, rotten, skin sloughing off - just awful zombie fish. Their carcasses provide sustenance for their babies when they hatch, but yech! Pretty gnarly looking.

Several times I've been standing in the river casting out for steelhead and had a monster - 20-30 pound zombie King Salmon bump against my legs because it's instinctively trying to take shelter in the calm spot that my leg is creating in the current. It's a little unsettling to have something brush up against you and to look down and see this rotten decaying mess hovering an inch away from your thigh. There's that AAAAAHHHHHGHGHGHHHHH! moment, then sort of a sorrow and reverence for this magnificent old grandfather that is completing the great circle after an amazing journey.

Then you drop your rod and run screaming back to the shore before it can eat your brrrainnnnnz...

we have some semi-shallow upper mountain creeks that somehow happen to be the spawning location for the salmon. i have no idea how/why they come up so far away from the river. but i have seen your story played out and i do agree that it's nasty.

Why couldn't they just lock it? It was entertaining reading.

I wanted to, but some yokel in a wheelchair and a computerized American accent beat me out of the job.

Wow, I never thought I'd hear a girl say that.
I have 2-3 dozen pair of shoes and mostly wear the same 1-3 pair all the time. I am a clothes girl -- lots and lots and lots of dresses and some I probably paid more than I should have for them.

LOL! Depending where you live, some channel catfish can get up to 5' long. You wont see 'em since they're so big they just lay at the bottom & eat whatever floats by. Then there's always stuff like Muskie or Pike, maybe Gars. ;)

And if you live in Thailand, you have these to contend with:
http://www.team-swap.com/wordpress/2005/06/30/worlds-largest-catfish-wow/

Funny story, my fiancee & I were hanging out on my parents boat dock. She likes feeding the carp that swim up. She also likes dangling her feet in the water. Well, the carp were pretty hungry that day (when arent they?), and she'd pull her feet out of the water if they got too close.

What she forgot is.... they can swim from behind too! One of the bigger carp came up from behind & under the dock and tried to chomp her foot. I've never seen anyone jump straight up from a sitting position before.

Funniest thing ever! :D
