1- More CREATIVE scripting on weapons. Not just the stupid orbiting and cages
2- Less of following traps and spammers

1-More trees and natural landscapes.
2-Less malls.

What I'dike to see: More ways for average residents to make some lindens without camping, or begging. What I can do without: RL companies in SL.

great thread!

even if this thread reminds me more of General and less of Resident Answers.. it's still a question. in any case.. more: whimsy (great suggestion, Desmond!) and creativity less: griefers and uninspired clutter i've always dreamt of what SL could be "in the future". well,, here we are.. at the beginning stages of "the future" and there are a lot of impressive ideas fleshed out in SL, such as basic AI.. fish, plants, etc., but there is a plethora of builds made with the premise of "make more money.. MORE, MORE!!" which just cheapens the splendor we have at our fingertips. there is an innate beauty in what we can do.. which honestly, has only been achieved in slight increments compared to what takes up the majority of space on the mainland/s. so, as always, i would like to stress unlimited imagination as our common goal. to create beyond boundaries.. to think "what can i create to STUN" and then go several steps further. not even i have accomplished this, but it's also why i've held land in Miramare for about three years and still don't have a permanent build up. i want something that SLers will see and stop in their tracks to admire.. even if for a second. because even one second of wonder can inspire untold amounts of personal creativity.

Unfortunately, I think whimsy and imaginative-builds-for-the-sake-of-imaginative-builds are going to be less and less common for a couple reasons. First, the kooky, fringe, off-kilter, freedom-loving, sexually-liberated types are going to be marginalized by the so-called ID verification process....replaced by more of the same bland, "safe for mass consumption" offerings. And second, let's be honest.....you have to have a lot of disposable income to afford to rent significant land from LL in SL, especially if you have no commercial intentions for that land (such as the delightful working farm someone mentioned).

1. I want to see imagination and creativity. I want to see objects that dont exist in real life, and that push the boundries of imagination and design.
2. I dont want to see any more of the 'same of shit'. SL is full to the brim of objects copied from rl designs from buildings to furniture to clothes to avatars. It's Dull and predictable and has been done a million times.

I want to see more creative inventions that don't just mimic real life. I want to see peoples passions displayed. When a person puts effort into something, you can tell. If I find something that I enjoy and there is a donation box, I will often donate.
I don't want to see even more ugly and empty (except for the zombies on dance pads) clubs. I don't want to ever see any more casinos. I never give my money to casinos.

I want to see: LESS rotating ads. There are some behind my land on a new sim. I refuse to buy the 16sqms - let them rot in hell. I am a member of the Arbor Project and have one of their thingies on my land. red ban lines. I am sick of crashing into them whilst windsurfing. Don't give a damn what you do on your land and if I REALLY wanted to be on your land there are ways ugly buildings - I sometimes roller skate along the roads and 90 percent are horrible. A very few make me gasp at them because they are fantastic. Kitchens and bathrooms in houses. Very silly. clubs and malls. They create awful lag, especially with the camping chairs. Less cr*p on events. So many yard sales sell copies of items and not the original as it would be at a real yard sale. Plus some of them sell freebie items which is a definite no no. MORE I want builders to think outside the box - not just churn out the same old thing. Be innovative and create something unusual and beautiful. I live in a bedouin tent and it works for me. I saw a hobbit house, it was fabulous as are some of the treehouses. Neighbours getting together to create something good for the area. LL dealing with the bugs before introducing new goodies. More builds like the sims Kensington, Chelsea and Mayfair based on London locations. Its still work in progress but I love what they've done so far. And they have a competition for good builders. I had better pause for breath there
