Since this is the 21st Century, any self respecting Dictator must have a network of Jumbotron displays in the Capital to remind us all who is in charge and to create the perfect dystopian atmosphere. When the Dictator is not giving a speech, these displays will show propaganda footage. It will also be illegal to approach a Jumbotron display wearing track clothing and carrying a sledgehammer.

When the dictator is not on, he needs to have a minion addressing the people in a soothing, calm voice, telling them that everything is ok, there are no invading forces on their way, it's all under control and just keep drinking the official soft drink of the regime, TroutaCola, which will have been cleverly drugged with my evil mind control chemicals. The problem with the Evil Overlord List is if you follow all the rules, you end up becoming a Relatively Benevolent Overlord.

If I was El Supremo Caliente Presidente I would first have a statue built in my honor, something modest, maybe the size of the Colossu of Rhodes or something. Then I would roll up my sleeves and get to work:

1. Put a limit on the number of of prims you can attach to your avatar, say a hundred or so tops.

2. Uploading textures larger than 512 x 512 would cost L1000 to discourage the unnecessarily large textures people use on stuff

3. Griefers will be forced to watch re-runs of "Golden Girls" for one thousand consecutive hours per violation.

4. Ad-cutters will be hung from their toes while being lashed with a rubber hose by a naked Janet Reno, 1000 strokes.

5. The oceans of SL will be populated bu huge leviathans of the deep to make boating more entertaining.

6. Occasionally I will bombard the land with giant meteors to encourage new building.

if i was queen of the world . . no griefing would be allowed at all. You grief? instant hardware ban. if i was queen of the world . . .mute feature would include an option to remove an avatar completely from your screen . . if i was queen of the world . . you couldnt gain employment from Linden Labs by kissing bum . . there would be no modivation to stab eachother in the back or scheme ways to screw eachother over to climb over eachother on the social ladder . . and no rewards for it . . Lindens caught stealing residents content and repackaging/selling it would be instantly fired. if i was queen of the world . . Linden Labs would spend all its resources and time fixing their code instead of offering things like voicechat . . if i was queen of the world id bring back ratings because people were nicer back then when they had a reason to be . . but i wouldnt bring back negative ratings only positive ones and if i was queen on the world people would do what they want to do without other people freaking out and losing their minds over pixels and how they are arranged. Sexual ageplay would not be banned and adult babies would recieve a full apology. BDSM would be recognized as safe including forced play and everyone would mind their own business or be banned for harrassment. if i was queen of the world . . wed have better "games" in sl that allow new residents to earn linden currency. it would help with retention rates and not everyone is an artist in rl. Sl is too elitest and should be more inclusive for everyone, not just content creators. i would also make the edit feature easier to use with drop down lists of shapes you can make from basic prim shapes instead of guarding that info in secrecy making it difficult for anyone who wants to learn to build. Everyone complains about ugly builds but what do you even expect.
