This is what the Emerald site says about the feature:

Clothing layer protection
Some clients, such as Vlife, Cryolife, etc some with the ability to right click and copy individual textures such as your skin, shirt, clothes... this function prevents that.
Does not work against copybots "clone" feature, but does prevent them from saving texctures to hard drive..



Thanks Lil, i knew i was not going crazy.

I am rather surprised at the misinformation newer residents have when it comes to this stuff as displayed in this thread however.

The Emerald blog reports that there is a bug associated with breast physics. If you try to save your shape while your "jiggle" is enabled, there is a "remote" possibility that your shape may become corrected in the database, permanently.

So:

1. Try to remember to turn off jiggle before tweaking your shape, and
2. Save a spare backup copy of your shape, just in case.

ok quick post for those stuck in emerald clothes mode after upgrading deleting the emerald.xml file will fix it.
i'm posting on my phone so can't see where it is right now
