My AO, and my collar.

The AO is in a Bindi on my forehead. The model is easy enough to remake, and the scripts are just a Franimation... and even the animations could be replaced.

The Collar is a kitbashed fusion of a KDC Low Posture Collar (I love the model) plus an Amethyst Slim Collar (I love the scripts). And a lot of TLC from me.

Both of these "indispensable items" I could replace.. and would if I had to. But I won't "go without"

Since I'm an old fogey by now, I carry a Multi Gadget rather than a MystiTool. It doesn't have TP history, it's true, but since I made my own TP history tool that doesn't bother me much ;)

As for indispensible, though, my Nevermore Hybrid 2 skin is definately on that list ;), plus the Personal Light Kit from Nakama to get rid of my worse sides ;)

This of course is assuming I'm not allowed to list avatar names here ;)

Since the question was "what items are indispensible to you", all those who said "my friends" can be castigated for treating your friends as "items" ...

Hey, now, I am one of some of my friend's best accessory. Who's to say I don't "accesorize" with friends? *wink*

Besides, without my friends, the rest is all just pixelated 010101's, and those by themselves are boring.

Argent Stonecutter's Cyberflight is pretty much the only thing I use regularly and couldn't remake in a couple of minutes, so uh... that.

There isn't a single item in my inventory that I would be devastated to lose. That includes every single item in my new store I spent months on before it ever became reality.

The few snapshots I have of friends are saved locally.

But the one "item" in second life that will always mean more to me than anything else are the souls that I've encountered along the way. Those who have touched me in some way either by direct interaction, or simply something they did or said, somewhere at some time.

The value of Second Life is most certainly contained within the folks who live it. And the folks who make it happen. Imagine a Second Life without Torley Linden, for example. Love him or hate him, there wouldn't BE a Second Life without the vision of Phil Rosedale, or the behind the scenes guys like Mitch Kapor.

And then there's the world these souls have created for us:

Imagine Second Life without the Particle Laboratory.

Imagine Second Life without Abbotts Aerodrome.

Imagine Second Life without the work of Chosen Few, Chip Midnight, and the many other early pioneers who helped craft this world we live in and enjoy.

No, my inventory could be empty tomorrow morning when I log in, and yes I'd be plenty pissed, but there would still be plenty out there to appreciate.

Think outside the inventory.

Hm this gives me an idea, I should write down my shapes #s on some paper. :D

I guess multi gadget since it tells me who is around, lets me fly above the cloud line, and allows me to jail my friends.

Definitely my Shape as well. The occasional tweak has got it to where I want - even though I have to adjust some clothes so they fit round my ample, curvy derriere.

Other, more material, things would be - Flowers Tattoos body suit from Nomis Kleene, my lightsabre (lol) and I have a Succubus skin from Ishtara Rothschild and I find myself wearing the strap boots from that with most outfits. My landmarks folder and snapshot folder.

Oh, and as long as my house survives any LL server issues, at least until I decide to change it again.

What a great thread! I love reading everyone's idea of what's dispensible and what's not.

Personally I could lose anything in my inventory - I of course love the snapshots I have of peeps, but as long as you still got the friends, thats the important thing.

So that being said, if i had to choose something i'd be really annoyed to lose, i'd say it would be my skin and shape because they help define my av, although by no means entirely - beauty is inside a person, and the outer shell is just pretty wrapping. Sl enables us to be defined and judged by our actions not our appearance because heck we're all gorgeous in there!!!! S'why I love SL :-)

p.s don't be entirely fooled - I have a gorgeous wardrobe that I would swim oceans to save in the event of an SL emergency LOL

My Shape and hair, but that wont happen because I havemit backed up. Lets see, I guess it would be my Force Prophecies as I use that 99% of the time in SL. Lets me know what is going on around me.

Great point on the shape :) That would definitely be a top one...I have written down all the slider numbers though just in case.

I'll also had another couple:

- My neko ears from Anika. I nearly always have them on, and while yeah, I could by them again (as I could with Mystitool), I would be sad to lose them.
- Any of the old Dazzle clothes in my virtual closet. They're not available anymore and therefore, I could definitely not replace them.
- My custom AO, which was a pain the ass to make and something I use often enough that I would miss it

Oh ya. I dun tink I'd be here without some of the folks I've met along the way. I know of a couple in-world dat, without, I dunno if I'd really wanna stay.

(One of those people, as I type dis, is undergoing surgery to fix her SVT, so I'm a liddle on-edge about dat. Funny how stuff can bleed over from SL to RL)

An ya, I'd place all of them over what boils down to prims, scripts, sounds, animations, an textures.

My shape and hair is backed up by writing down all the slider % settings on paper, so I can get my look back if it's ever lost.

Apart from that, I think the things I've made are most important to me. I'd be a upset if the Riverside Restaurant ever closed as that's where I like to eat most in SL.
