TO THE LINDEN BLOG FANBOIS: I do not think you should take this opportunity to applaud the thread about the new Conversation Manager as being the correct outlet to ban someone because of what they say. You seem blinded by the light coming off of the shiny new Linden. I have no idea why anyone would condone such actions and attempt to justify it by posting a list of places that person was banned from in the past.

I hope no noobs believe that this is acceptable of seasoned residents around here.

It seems a little self-destructive for these two Lindens to use this opportunity to ban someone. This banning is now what this thread is all about - that and what is considered acceptable conversation if you want to be allowed to continue to be heard. And that's too bad.

More sad than annoying. We're our own worst enemy as much as LL is theirs.

As much as I'd like to see them be more open in LL/resident communications and keep these forums around, AND actually participate in them, I don't have any problem at all seeing why they act the way they do.

I see Prok is posting again on the blogs. Rather than taking the hint, he's posting yet another rant about about how LL "must" behave on their own site. I haven't quite figured out if Prok just loves drama that much and is trying to be a martyr or if he really just doesn't get it yet.

I believe it is you that does not get it. It is known as freedom of speech. Millions embrace it over corporate wants. It is just that simple.

That one person's words will not end this company. Your blind support of their policy to give 'hints' to people saying things they do not want to be said is nonsense.

Freedom of speech on the internet? Everything in secondlife.com is private property and the Lindens can shut down anybody they want for any reason they want. Complain to your local law enforcement all you like - they WILL laugh at you for being so naive.

You posted in support of the blog ban and also made some little fear-mongering comment about silencing even more conversations because a Linden may react again.

Agreed. But when the residents applaud corporate crack-down on other residents - it gives the corporation the impression that the residents want such a heavy hand placed on their speech.

Prok was banned from the old blog for his behavior there. Prok was banned from most of these here forums for his behavior here. Prok has been warned, many times, about his behavior.

His unbanning will only hasten his total departure from SL. Darwin will catch up to him eventually.

What I read was, "Everyone was warned of what would happen if we couldn't clean up our act. Prok decided to flaunt that and thus earned the ban." I'm going to assume that Prok is an adult, thus able to make decisions for him/herself and take the consequences of those decisions.

From what I'm understanding, Prok only got a time out.. this time.

freedom of speach has a thin line with hatespeach, you always have to wonder if someone using the right of free speach or are they only using it as an excuse to spread hate.

a very fitting rl exsample is a populist from my own country, mister Geert Wilders, right now he is in a lawsuit aimed to asnwer that very question, to get a good idea of what kind of person he is look up fitna and ask yourself, is he using freespeach or abusing it?
