I'm experiencing the same problems.. also with dance balls at other places.. our own animations (bought).... Only remedy sofar is a logoff-logon.. (which of course kinda spoils the moment! eg. under a mistletoe)..

I've been having this problem as well... log off, log on seems to be the only way to cure it.

On a related note, everytime I TP anywhere whatever i was wearing on my feet appear as though they are attached to my ass! It only looks like that to me, everyone else sees it fine. it was funny the first couple of times, but after I found myself with Ice-Skates stuck up there ........!! ouch!

Hi, just wanted to post I didn't forget about this. Are any of you still having this problem?

Kitty, I tried your exact repro — thanx for providing it, but I was unable to to make it happen for me. Can you still do it using those steps?

This is frustrating because I know I've seen the same problem of "avatars appear differently to each other while on same poseballs", but haven't been able to make it happen at will yet.

I'm keeping an eye on this thread; I've heard additional complaints surface and I'd like to make sure we don't miss out on this bug.

I see this happen occasionally as well. Log off/on corrects the problem, but it is annoying.

I have also occasionally been confronted with seeing my feet sink into the floor, but only in a given parcel and not all of the time. Weird.

Torley - it happens to me every day (seriously). I always have to clear cache and relog and then it's fine for another couple of hours (or pose balls) and then it's back. It happens with anything joint - dance balls, cuddle balls, etc.

I should add, it's been happening to me since the update before the latest, but is a great deal more frequent now (read: at least once or twice daily).

I've been noticing these sorts of glitches a lot recently - one avie will be sitting but some people will see her standing and others in the correct pose

I only tried it with two pieces I own, and as it turns out, those two things are the only way I can get a repro every time :o.

It seems to be related to the script (same creator, same script in both) because when I take the exact same anims out, and put them into another poseball with a script I made, it works fine although can't seem to figure out what exactly triggers it :(.

This update broke my repro :(. I guess that means it either got fixed (whoo! :)) or it went back to its former rare occurance problem.

Has anyone still had the problem after today's update?

I happened to catch the bug this morning again. One person standing in standard pose and the other operating correctly on a ball. Dunno which variation (new or old) this is. I wasn't involved but I saw the people trying to use the balls and one person having an absolute stroke that they weren't working properly ;)

I'm still watching this — anyone with a solid repro (you can repeat it over and over again), please bug report it as described above, and send me an email with the auto-reply # you get: torley@lindenlab.com

You can also send the poseballs involved to my Inventory — even if they're no-copy, I *promise* to send them back. They'll just be used to make sure I, or anyone's help I need from Quality Assurance, can see it too.

Torley - when you say you can "repeat it over and over", do you mean hopping on and off the balls with the same results? Or something else?

I always bug report things like this but I want to be sure I am doing it properly. In general it would be good to know what passes for a "solid repro" of a suspected bug.

While we're at it. Does it still make sense to send a bug report on the tight pants bug that is making everyone look like they're stuck in the 80s? ;) since 1.13 update? I must have sent three in already and have never seen it mentioned in Known Issues. For that one, the "solid reproduction" is to stand there and watch a parade of Boy Georges walk by. Seriously, would love to know whether LL is aware of this. Admitedly, it's driving me flipping mad so I am focused on it:rolleyes: Oh and just because I am a PITA, here is a funny blog post about the TIGHT PANTS SYNDROME

The "you look like you're just sitting there" animation bug has been around at least since the original 1.12 (and perhaps 1.11) update but it got REALLY BAD with 1.13. I don't know how SL handles animations, but one of my friends suggested that the animation is simply not downloading/caching for affected persons when the issue occurs. It's also worth noting that I've never had a problem where I can't see a pose/animation that I am trying to assume. It's always been other avatars animations I can't see. And, in all cases, the people whose animations I couldn't see COULD see their own pose/animation just fine.

Logging out and logging back in is the only way I've been able to fix it. And I have to do it at least once every time I'm on now. It bugs.

P.S. It's random, not reliably reproduceable. Just visit a bunch of clubs and dance a lot, ask people if they see you dancing, and eventually you'll hit it.

My repro doesn't work anymore, but I found a new behaviour that's probably related :(.

Like before, it's probably dependent on what you test it on (I'll mail something more detailed, along with the item, once I know it's a 100% repro again, Torley, but it's 1am and this Kitty needs her catnap :))
 1. Alt hops on the item and gets animated, you see the anim for both
 2. You tp away and then tp back
 3. The alt is still animating for you, but the default sit pose is now overriding the lower body even though it has a lower priority than the playing animation

I waste far too much time on this bug :p.

[Edited to add that this isn't the result I got doing the same thing in the previous update at all, so something someone is doing is changing the behaviour of animations]

FYI had no problems with dance balls (or otherwise) tonight for the first time in a while :) AND, tight pants seem to have been fixed too. Yahoo! Thank you.

Nevermind, I was wrong. Tight pants are rampant. My fiance just figured out the quick fix and has been practicing it LAWL.

I can repro the new one, but only with one certain animation (why do those bugs always have to be so weird :p) and it does like this is simply a new one and not related to the other one, because this one can be 'fixed' by simply hopping off and back on the poseball.

Bad poseballs! lol

My partner and I went to Aroha Island. Nice romantic spot and TRIED to have fun on some poseballs in a cabin. Things went horribly wrong! The poses on the bed worked fine, but the ones on the floor... omg. Not so great. He either sunk through the floor to his knees OR just sitting in the air.

The poses looked fine for him. We actually took pics to show each other what we were seeing!

And I sink - to my ankles. My partner sinks. My poor puppies sink. This isn't good. I even lost one! Poor buggar fell off world. :( It did get returned, but poor Sparky just ain't so sparky now. And Renee his playmate, well her lil legs are in ground. It's a sad sight. I took a pic to show the folks who are kind enough to let me live above their clouds. We've deleted the yard. Put it back. Ack! Still sinking.

I've put up 3 different houses, nada. Still sink. I have posing stands everywhere. Anytime I sink I hop on it. It fixes it temporarily, but I can't stick my puppies on them every time I turn around! Will my house sink? Will I eventually end up on the island below? They even reset the island today because people were just up and flying away without telling themselves to fly. They had to relog to stop!

At Ramos ... the Christmas tree area I fell through and kept falling. I was in the negatives right before I logged off. I kept wondering if I'd end up like in virtual China or something, but gave up when all I saw was blackness! I couldn't TP out of it... Nothing I tried kept me from falling.

What the heck is going on???

I won't even go into the funky stuff my sexgen is doing!

I had major problems with poseball animations not working today, tried numerous ones b y different makers, most did not work, found one or two that did work. Hard to define a reproducable bug since some made one of us sit, some froze in a pose, some made one or both of us stand.

For quite a few updates i've had that problem where you get stuck in the typing animation. It sorta makes you look like your turned to stone.

Kitty, I got the email with your latest repro. I'm hoping to find some time to focus on that this week. I sent you a reply. Many thanks to everyone who provided additional details here.

Yes, that's right. :) A solid repro is "I'm sure I can repeat this problem and show it to you, over, and over, and over again".

Also about this "tight pants" thing... [UPDATE] Good news, this is a known issue to us. I'll include the link to the Linden Lifestyles blog post.

Aha. I confirmed this too using "Dance B" on a LostDog chair, and will be entering it as an issue soon! Thanks so much for your diligence in investigating this so we could get it pinned down, Kitty! :)

I just mailed you back :o. But yay for getting a repro! :)

Too bad we don't get to see the Lindens do the dance while trying to figure out why it breaks :p.
