Animations glitches--is it just me?

Is anyone else having problems with animations? Two couples animations by different creators that worked great a couple weeks ago are not working properly. In a kissing ani our heads no longer turn towards each other. In a more intimate ani, i can assume either position and it works but when he assumes his, he is sitting on my shoulders and not moving. Amusing for a second but not what we wanted.

I imagine it's an issue with this update, yes, we are having the same problems. At different times it appears that one of us is posed correctly on the dance or cuddle balls but she sees me sitting on her head, or visa versa.

I've had this issue as well, though I have no idea why, and figured it was just me as well. I tried taking the pose balls in and out of inventory, to no avail, then my partner and I tried switching sides on the pink and blue balls, since it seemed as though each of us was seeing the other's animation ok, but this only had mixed results.
IS this something that got borked in the last update and is there a way to fix it?

They better fix it soon or they'll have a bunch of randy avs rioting

Yeah i've found that if you wait as a couple in front of them for about ooooohhh 10 minutes they SOMEtimes work... emphasis on some.. so yeah i would hope this gets fixed soon..

Don't know if this is related, but tonight, a friend of mine's legs were weird looking - both as a tiny and as himself. He didn't see his legs all bent like that, so I sent him a picture of it.

And then I was inadvertantly topless in front of him and another friend. My inventory said I was wearing a shirt but I was wearing nothing! And it said I was wearing shoes I wasn't wearing, either.

If it's the "I see me posing fine, but the other sees me sitting in the standard sitting pose" then that's actually an old bug (present for at least two updates), it just happens more frequently now .

I have the opposite. I'm wearing clothes while it says I'm not wearing any. Trying to change results in wearing the new outfit on top of the old one :|.

The only way I know to work around this animation glitch, which has actually been happening quite frequently since the update, is to log out and back in again. Is there any other way to "refresh" the client besides logging out?

It's definitely an old bug but is rampant now with the update. What sometimes works for me is to clear cache and relog. Not always but sometimes.

As for the other woes...I was mostly ok until tonight when TPs stopped working, my clothes disappeared, my av was ruthed and half my inventory invisible. It got better as more people logged off but still sucked outloud.

AND WHAT THE HELL IS WITH EVERYONE'S PANTS??? They're all pegged at the ankes...it would suck to have a wedding planned for now (I just realized what an odd comment that was LOL).

Well, it wasn't sitting, it was his legs were more bent at the knee and then splayed out toward the side. And as a squirrel Tiny, his legs looked longer than they should, and like he was wearing little fur leg-warmers.

Pants - I have some boots that when I put them on, looked like shoes with half a pair of pants on top.

But at least I could see myself! Earlier tonight, I was a pair of earrings with shoes.

geez, I gotta test this. Naturally, a bug like this would be a very bad thing for my products.

ADDITION: hm, just tested, seems to be working fine. Must've been a temporary glitch yesterday.

The kissing animation I'm talking about is indeed your ground kiss, Johan. It worked beautifully when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. Its still not working for me as of 8am sl. I tried clearing the cache which did not resolve it. I have tried it on the two parcels of land I own which are in different sims.

The legs are correct but the torsos do not twist to face the partner and the heads follow the cursor instead of remaining facing the partner. We tried fiddling with the position of the balls, but nothing worked because the torsos don't twist. I understand that this is a system problem, not a problem with your product. I thought you would like to know and may be able to suggest some diagnostics or a work-around.

Zoom up (Ctrl-Alt) on them close, then back out and they'll suddenly turn back to normal.

It doesn't happen every time, and I haven't found any way of reproducing it on purpose, but it does happen, more now after this update.

There's another (probably the same) bug where someone will sit down and see themself in the proper pose, but everyone else sees the AO override pose.

I did just find a reproduction that works for me and my alt no matter where, if someone else could test it too .

1. Tp your alt to you (make sure it's somewhere you have two different sets of poseballs)
   
2. Clear cache on both and log off
   
3. Log both back on
   
4. Alt jumps on pose ball set 1, you see the pose/animation on both viewers
   
5. Log alt off
   
6. Log alt back on
   
7. Alt jumps on pose ball set 2, on your alt's screen it'll play the pose, on your screen it'll just sit there in the default sitting pose
   

ah dammit. I hope LL figures this one out, in the meantime I'll see if I can figure out what's going on (thanks kitty, that series of steps to reproduce the error provides important clues.) Not that this helps you out in the short term, but I do want to point out that the product isn't simply broken. Just this morning I hopped on the demo unit in my store so that a customer could verify how it looks.

ADDITION: Have you tried resetting the scripts? Although you don't have mod permissions for the scripts, you do have mod permissions for the object, so you can double click the scripts and hit the Reset button. Among other things that resets animate permissions, so maybe that'll help.

Didn't someone (or several someones) say we no longer have permission to reset scripts on things we bought from other people?

Johan: resetting the scripts did not help.

If the script is contained in something that is no modify then you can no longer reset it. If the prim/object the script is in is mod enabled, then you can still reset it.

This has been an ongoing issue for several weeks now...It has been documented and bug reported. The only "fix" is the client that sees the person only in a sitting position must relog. PLEASE FIX THIS SOON LL!!

Thanks Torley, I totally forgot about the bug reports thing. It wouldn't make much sense for me to report the bug since I'm not experiencing it personally, but Kitty and Sylvia make sure to submit a bug report.

I've submitted 7 for this update so far about things that aren't commonly reported but I've only received an automated response for 5 of them, 2 apparantly didn't even make it through. Time to bug report the bug reporting feature .

Out of all the bugs with solid repros I ever filed, only one has been fixed so far, the rest is still reproducable update after update so I'm not going to hold my breath. Even the ones that were verified by liaisons don't get fixed, or even acknowledged after filing.

I was told by a Linden, that if you didn't get an email back within a few minutes, to redo the bug report. With all the server and website issues and all kinds of fun stuff, some are getting lost due to lag out, but no one on either side would ever know.

I'm hoping to give this a good look later this week if things aren't too crazy, I'll post back here if I find anything new.
