Don't feel bad I've had 3 or 4 people tell me theres a rumor that I'm Sandy Shu. As if I would use huge ugly for sign signs! When anyone ask's me if I'm her, I just say that I'm so good at finding deals, I chase myself to them.

Sandy Shu wishes she was you. Sarah Nerd: Often immitated, never replicated.

I was just commenting on how it's the former owner's fault for not paying attention to what they're doing when a regular av buys the land but when a landbot does it it's a flawed system and LL needs to take action against such a scourge NOW!

What a tangled web we weave!!

Well, except for the fact that when somebody bitches about getting landbotted, about half the comments are of the "you should have been paying attention" variety.

And an av, unlike a landbot, can be presumably be reasoned with. (And can actually feel guilt to the point that they ask the forum if they're being a jerk or not . . . )

Q: I recently found a parcel for sale. There were buildings on the parcel that were not selling with the land. I purchased the land and returned the objects to the owner. A few minutes later I get this avatar screaming at me because she had renters on the parcel and didn't know who to reimburse. She said I should have waited to return the objects. There was no note in the land description field telling me buildings were rented so I had no idea. I feel bad, but shouldn't she have resolved these kinds of things before she put the land up for sale? I don't feel like I need to apologize to her, since I don't think I did anything wrong. Am I being a jerk about it?

Just because someone screams at you doesn't make her right and you wrong. She was taking out her mistake on you. I wonder if the renters realized that the parcel was for sale?

Anyway, shrug it off..you are not a jerk but she is.

She should have Maintained record of her tenants, and Made a point of arranging restitution BEFORE she put the land up for sale, the Mistake was hers, not yours.

She may not have taken note of her tenants names when the L$ rolled in, but I'd guess that the tenants know her name. So don't worry... she'll be getting an angry IM letting her know who she has to give a refund to soon enough.

She probably already Has received some, which explains why she is trying so hard to blame others for her own negligence.

no, seller should have prepared her renters foir the sale and informed the buyers what the buildings were. since it seems she did neither, the blame is all hers.

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

she should not have sold it if she had obligations to wrap up

its her problem not the new owners

unless the objects are for sale with the land it should be totally clean (its just a mouseclick) and with her attitude yea AR her, she has no say about what you do about junk on your land

You did absolutely nothing wrong, she's the idiot. When land is up for sale, it's up for sale, if you buy it, it's now yours to do with as you wish. Since you didnt own the objects, all you were doing was clearing your lot.

well thats true,

Im half suspecting the ones who said ban her and AR her were kidding

Return the items , ban her even- sure .. mute her .. ok

but Abuse Report the person for just complaining a little ?

Nah.

In my opinion people should save Abuse reports for actual abuse.

I bought six expensive 1024 parcels, and got an angry IM saying, "How did you get my land!!??"
I suppose he thought I was a land bot, except the dumbest land bot in existence wouldn't have bought those parcels for what I paid.
To the O.P., did poor little avatar renters fall out of their houses when you returned their prims? (That would have been funny).

No, it did rain trafficbots though :)

I think it a little unprofessional of her to be renting out AND having the land for sale at the same time. As said earlier, if the agreement with her renters was that the land may sale at some point then fair enough BUT by the sounds of the way she spoke to you I can only assume that she wanted to recive rent on land YOU own.

I think you did the right thing in fact I think you was quite nice about it all in all.

Yes I feel sorry for HER renters but she has recieved money for land that she doesnt own so she obviously has little feeling for them.

I would have returned her items and she should have not really had ANY ITEMS on the land that was for sale unless those items were also included and certainly not rented unless it was OK to return

Disorganised...that's a word I'd use to describe the avatar you bought the land from, wait..disorganised and irresponsible..those are the words I'd use to describe the avatar you bought the land from..aah..disorganised, irresponsible and a total loon, those are just some of the words I'd use to describe the avatar you bought the land from..

If you're going to rent from someone you'd at least expect them to remember (or possibly even write down..'record') who you were and where you were and how much you've paid = disorganised.

Putting land up for sale before letting your tenants know they're about to be booted out on the street = irresponsible

Screaming at the avatar who just bought the land you recently, irresponsibly put up for sale = downright rude and the actions of a total loon.

Jerk =

‘The Jerk’ (1979), a comedy film starring Steve Martin.

‘The Jerk’ (House episode), a third season episode of the TV series House.

‘Jerk’, an album released in 1995 by hHead on IRS records.

‘Jerk’ (band), an industrial metal band from Sydney, Australia.

‘The Jerk’ (dance), a dance craze.

‘Clean and jerk’, the second stage of the Olympic weightlifting exercise.

‘Hypnic jerk’, an involuntary muscle twitch during the transition from wakefulness to sleep.

‘Jamaican jerk spice’, a style of cooking native to Jamaica in which meats are dry-rubbed with a fiery spice mixture.

‘Soda jerk’, a person who operates a soda fountain.

There's also a 'jerk' found in physics..don't even go there..

Are you a jerk..take your pick...:)

If she complains to you again, give her a link to this thread. Either it will be a lesson for her or very entertaining.

I agree with everyone else. She's just....so wrong.
