I just gotta say that Elex always gets a grin out of me... if only for the reason that I'm secretly thinking exactly what he's thinking, but trying to deny it to myself.

At any rate, all that this will get is one unhappy "customer" who never spent any money at the store anyway. I was once banned and orbited from a script shop by pointing out to the owner that he was selling freebie scripts...

...I am in RL business. There is one thing that is not done... negative behaviour towards a customer or maybe soon to be customer (meaning being rude, insulting, attacking... whatever)...As business person you have to control yourself... Outside you stay relaxed and polite...

I'm not in RL business, but I have a growing SL business, and the truth of this was demonstrated to me this week.

I had a customer IM me (when I was offline) complaining that they'd lost one of my Cards because of the LL 'Accept' blue box for the Instructions and Landmark I include with each card purchase; they'd been a bit quick to hit the 'Decline' button and lost the card. They suggested that I might want to do without the notecard and LM in future.

I wrote back and explained that people often wouldn't get the personalization of the cards right unless I sent instructions (they just need to Rez the card in-world, but often don't read the Description or Chat text on purchase), and that I have lots of repeat customers so the LM is useful to them :-) I would also have offered a replacement card if I'd been online, but the customer had bought a 2nd card by then.

Anyway, they wrote back to me thanking me for my professional response. A conversation ensued, and ended up with them saying how much they love my cards, joining my Update group, and asking to Friend me...

There is a moral in that story...
