As a relative noob, I'll chime in...
I agree the privacy one and lag are probably my top choices of those listed. I also like the idea of being able to IM into SL from outside and ability to build offline for later use inworld.
I wish (and maybe you can and I'm too new to know how): 1) Inventory was stored on my hard drive so they'd be safe and can be manipulated offline (if permissions are there). 2) Inventory items I bought from someone else could be resold (not modified or copied). 3) Live, inworld help.

1. SL would quit consuming more and more consumer resources with each new update
2. SL would bring back the old forums where we could actually talk to Lindens. After all, *we* didn't sign up nearly *eight* million members and make the old ways bulky and unmanageable. Hire enough staff to take care of your customers.
3. SL would quit givng us "improvements" nobody wants, specifically the new (laggier) sky (which they assure us won't cause any more lag... than clouds???), and Voice.
Silly dreams...

From: Conan Godwin A piece of software to allow building with prims and textures offline, the products of which can then be imported into the game once you log in. I don't know if this handles textures, but you can do prims offline: /8/64/110607/1.html

1. stable, lag free SL
2. better support, including an effective network of in-world moderators who work in a reactive way rather than police SL.
3. a proper refer-a-friend scheme that reports on total number of leads and conversion rates

If I were to really wish, I would wish big. I'd expect a lag/bug/crash free enviornment, amongst other things. That said, here's some more, um, reachable wishes.
1. A clear method or methods of contacting or even interacting with Linden staff members; in short a way to get a sense that LL is actually listening to all its member's concerns, and acting on same - this would also mean having a "community imput" on policy and other issues that actually involved the input of Second Life's community.
2. Less downtime, including less necessary upgrades of software While some is necessary, of course, it becomes very easy to fatique people with a cycle of regular downtime. Add that even those 2-3 hour maintenance downtimes often lead to day-long outages.
3. A user experience with less regular bugs, or at least more bugs being squashed versus new ones introduced. As I type this, I realize there isn't a single thing I can think of within SL that is not, in some way, borked.

Introduce morale points... Rate negatively anyone who promotes sleazy, cheap stuff which lowers the value and appeal of SL. The more morale points, the more the weekly stipend.

1. Eliminate Camping 2. Fix the damn asset server issues by clustering the mysql DBs correctly 3. Speed up the download speed so when I TP I can actually use my full connection rather than only 1.5mbit/sec...

The Death of: 1) "Captain-Jean-Luc Picard of the U-S-S En-ter-prise" 2) "Bananaphone" 3) "Miko Miko Nurse" You oldbies out there know what I'm talking about. Gestures have a short shelf life and these 3 are way past their expiration date.

From: Csteph Submariner If you had three wishes which you could use to change or add anything in SL, what would you wish for?
1) fix the bugs 2) check and fix the bugs introduced by the previous fixes 3) hire mo qualified developpers and FIX THE BUGS _____________________________________________________ don't want pretty skies don't want voice chat don't care about sculpties contests -> want decent support -> want stable platform I have a dream. I have a dream that one day the SL nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: all residents deserve a stable and optimized SL"

1. Off line / web site shopping to eliminate the lag of trying to rez all those pictures in stores.
2. A whole new second version of Second Life organized into 4 or more major grid areas with the following general traits: A. Those that encourage RL info crossing into SL. B. Those that discourage RL info intruding into SL. C. Those filled with residents who wish more enforcing of morality. D. Those filled with residents who abhor having other's morality forced on them. This way you could have grid AC, BC, AD, and BD. They could have commerce with one another and people could freely travel between them, but no one should complain if they happen to see a BDSM supply store in grid BD, and no one should complain if voice chat is going on in grid AC, or AD, for instance. (Yes, I know everyone would still complain anyway.)
3. The ability to hollow a prim off center would make elegant design a whole lot easier! WG

1. A stable reliable platform. 2. Responsive customer support. 3. The end of corporate whoring at the expense of paying end-users.

1) the ability to use flash to make games inside SL, there are some good games in SL but they are restrited to what can be done due to prims etc. It would be great if i could chuck a flash game on a single prim.
2) Something like Amazons mechanical turk to come inside SL to provide newbies with a way to earn a few lindens. Mechanical turk is a system that pays people to do micro tasks that cant be performed by a computer. The number one question newbies ask me is: "how can i earn some money", it sucks that the only answer i can give them (if they are unskilled that is) "hippiepay or camping".
3) the abilty to order Pizza without leaving SL

1) Better support options for people, who have credit card info on file and have used it, even though they're not Premium members. 2) Less lag, fewer crashes and downtimes (better "scalability" ? 3)Fewer bugs

From: Morwen Bunin And not only looking through in whatever way, also not moving through... I mean a wall is a wall.... and a closed door is a closed door!!!
Morwen. I think more rapid computation of collision-detection may be needed (but they probably know that )... maybe it has to do with order that the prog scans for decision rules? The other day I was high-speed flying along (just running the wind through my hair ) and was suddenly inside a building/large room (it formed around me) that seems like it is used for... adult things. There was nobody there and no door, but there was a tp pad so I tped to the bottom floor for the heck of it. Turns out the owner charges $L to see the room, a room which I was in for free. This happens a lot as I fly, of course. There has to be a way to stop it, otherwise the privacy "borders" would not work (I slam into these a lot flying also-- but I DO hit/collide with them, no matter how fast I am going so they clearly are an early decision rule in the computation). As a relative noob my wishes would be 1) for everyone-- more rapid collision detection everywhere, if possible 2)for everyone-- LL to be able to get many many big companies, stores, and sites to bring their wares to sl and sell them-- RL wares shipped to us. (can't wait to browse at (insert online media seller here).com island, if it ever comes into being ) 3)For me-- 10,000 shares of Linden Research, Inc. if there is ever an IPO ... but that's RL
