From: poopmaster Oh full perm means full perm, right?
there is no 'kinda full' or 'full for you but please' its only
full = full
therefore you can not 'rip them off' they sold them 'full perm' they gave you the right to resale. full means full Wrong in this case. When you get to TRU, you get a notecard in your face. You also get notecards in the packages explaining the conditions. In part: "Textures R Us End User Agreement License. By purchasing textures from Textures R Us you are agreeing to abide by the usage outlined in our Copyright Policy/TOS...." It explains very clearly that the conditions of sale are that you can not resell the textures. They are the intellectual property of the creators and the creators explicitly reserve resell rights. Full perm means that it is *technically* possible to rip them off and resell them. Actually reselling or redistributing them violates the conditions of sale. It's theft. The texture business works on an honour system. If enough people act dishonourably, then the trade is endangered.

The full perms are so we can use them in what we create and its a service to us builders.

There is a solution to the ripoff of 'full perms' textures or other content by creators who don't want someone taking their stuff and selling it in a collection for a 1/10th of the price. LL need to add a user-after-next group of permissions. Then you would limit the permissions of the user-after-next. So when someone buys this 'full perms' item, the person they then sell it to will not have full perms. Voila the code enforces the intention of the seller without recourse to law. I have a JIRA issue in for this suggestion if you like it go to http://jira.secondlife.com, log in and vote for VWR-1673

From: Desmond Shang Ah, Caledon has telehubs - You are probably smack downtown in Victoria City park. Architextura is 'south, central' in Caledon Victoria City sim, just outside of the big ring road. Thanks!

The texture business works on an honour system. If enough people act dishonourably, then the trade is endangered. Yeah except it doesn't work that way. If I include a notecard in a purchase that reads "Oh yeah btw, you're not allowed to use them" it's exactly the same.
