I have slowed my spending down quite a bit, for various reasons. But the main reason is it takes so long for textures to load lately! IF I can TP someplace, I have to hang out for up to 10 minutes waiting for the pics to rezz. A few places are just impossible - they never rezz and all I can see is gray boxes.
So, I have turned to SLExchange. Probably 95% of my purchases the last two weeks were made there, I highly recommend all content creators to list their items there. The Search function works, no lag time in receiving items = its a shoppers paradise!

As an avid shopper myself I am sad that there isn't more on SLExchange. I've gotten into the habit of finding something in SLExchange and then in world looking up the vendor to see more of their offerings -- I find not many keep their SLExchange offerings up to date. But definitely the Exchange is a great place for searching -- it's like a huge catalogue. I hope more vendors use it and keep it up to date as well.

From: Sae Luan Sales have been down for both me and my husband, but he's getting tons of custom requests (he scripts). One thing we've noticed (don't know if anyone else has) is that our sales in SLexchange are at an all time high. Because of that, I feel one of the big reasons sales are down in world are the teleport issues. Yep, during Q3 & Q4 of 2006 SLX & SLB contributed about 5 % to my total Quarterly Revenue. Q1 2007 tripled to 15% and thats a significant number of sales so I have started to pump L$ into the featured ads and will do so more over the coming weeks. SLX owners have got be one of the few groups that are over joyed with excessive lag and TP failure, although I expect that has a knock on effect of undelivered items and failed withdraw etc so extra support. But still, they must be racking in the profits. Good on them, its a invaluable service to the community.

Slow as a wet week.

Two days now, traffic down 99% sales down 100%. Zip, naught, zero, nadda... It has not ever been this slow for me. Something has to be wrong. It's like there is an air raid and everybody is bunkering. It has been slow before around update time but NEVER this bad. Any other store owners noticed a severe drop? Any guesses as to why? It's usually not just me.

But is 904,000 $ spent in last 24 hours, high or low or average? Where is the daily stats for those numbers please.

Yeah, you can probably gaurentee a few slow days after the update. Allot of people are still having issues and I suspect the last thing on their mind is shopping. It's allways the same after a big update. Someone has effectively just picked up our world and given it a bloody good shaking and it will take a few days for the dust to settle and for consumers to to find their feet and regain their confidence.

Sales

I don't sell anything, but as a customer I can personally state, high prices and the cost of buying lindens for a "Game" is starting to get on my nerves. So I stopped buying clothes, avatars and anything else for that matter.

Yet the L$ has been very stable for a while (at least since it went a bit haywire last year). The only justification I can see for this is that the US Dollar has decreased in value, however I dont think that decrease anywhere nears justifies the prices that people charge.

And getting this all the time don't help either The system is currently unable to process your request. The request timed out. You pay a fee, it goes ching out your account, then that comes up and you don't get the product, credit grrrrr Sharon

Interestingly, Wednesday, post update, was the best day I've had in the last 7. Quite poor compared to previous sales, but still, I really hadn't expected that -anyone- would be out shopping at the same time the grid was crawling back to life after a major update. Perhaps it had something to do with there not being the usual 10-15 campers in the casino behind my store. From: Porky Gorky Yeah, you can probably gaurentee a few slow days after the update.
