No More Age Threads!

I do love a good spinning-out-of-control thread. But this is insane. You aren't changing each others' minds. And it doesn't matter if you do. Your fellow SLians can't directly change LL policy.

From what I understand, when the wildly unpopular island price hike was announced, a few people even called the CFO. And talked to him one to one. That got LL's attention. The forums do not.

If you truly disagree with this decision, then get a piece of paper, an envelope and write a letter to the company that needs your money: Linden Lab. Pick up the phone and spend some long distance minutes leaving a message to the CEO or PR Director. WRITE TO THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF LL. The email addresses are easy to find.

That gets their attention. This forum does not. Heck, they barely read their own blog's comments.

Time and again, I see people burning their energy making great points that get buried in a few hours. (People repost a dozen times, probably spending an hour to write.) Spend that same hour to make a comment to the right people: Tell LL you do not like this.

You have power, folks. Do not let it go to waste here, insulting each other and bickering over spelling, reading into every verb or adjective. Even if you're an underage, unverified child, your opinion has more impact directed directly to them, than the people here.

this is the root of evil here. i have to submit more information for the american government to collate on me. i can be flagged a 'deviant' for trekking into xxx areas to put up skin vendors.
you may have submitted to an authoritarian shell of a democracy over there, but i dont like the idea of having the american government recording a profile on me. that is fucked.

That is disturbing.

As is the fact that days after receiving an open letter from very high profile residents asking them to put a freeze on new developments until they make a major impact on outstanding bugs (some involving serious loss, and some outstanding for years), they announce rolling out not one but two, possibly three, major changes to the grid within the next month.

As is the fact that you only have to read these forums to realise that e-mails to support often go unanswered (even ones asking for permission to give LL more money!), the phone often switches to voice mail and voice mail goes unanswered.

Not listening to your customers is not a good sign!

Im from australia and to give someone your cc info and adress and then a passport or drivers liscence to go with that to is just asking for trouble.we are told not to give out that sort of information to anyone and there is no need for anyone to ask for so much info for a game.This is a game after all.As far as i know this is meant to be an adult only grid so why restrict people from any sites as they r all meant to be for adults only.You cant gamble till you are 18 so why is this just for adult content.wouldnt letting minors gamble require an id check to.Dont pick on the one group.Also to say that i am legaly responsible for what goes on at my land is a joke and if these changes go ahead i will be leaving sl as will many of my friends and fellow club owners.Some of you are saying not to post about this and you are sick of hearing it.well did you ever think there are so many posts cause so many people see its wrong.wake up to yourselfs ll you are gonna lose lots of loyal gamers and lots of $$$.from what i have heard you guys dont listne to the people who pay u anyway.so all i say is go ahead with your outrages changes and im closing my club and account.
