Mission objective:

- To have this on the first page when they archive the forums.

- To (ha. ha. ha.) keep Resident Answers alive by having such a huge Poll result with so many different names that the Linden's take notice.

Won't matter how many people respond.

One time, we were promised that if a certain JIRA issue (the one to restore Hippos) got 2,000 votes, it would be implemented.

We got the votes. We didn't get the Hippos.

It will still serve as an embarrassment if it sits on the first page when they archive this forum.

Why is it an embarrasment?

It's obvious , at least to me that those idiots are immune to embarrasment. If the opposite were true, things would have be a lot different in SL world.

They can just delete it if they think it's that embarrassing.

The whole first three or four pages of the RA forum will be laments over the closing of the forums.

Lindens don't care.

You necro-poster you! But thanks. I didn't see this thread.

The fourms must close now after all the poignant and heart wrenching goodbyes. I cannot go through this again.

I heard from a number of people that we did get the hippos.

Were they all lying?

My response is the same as the punchline of the joke about "If you push a 200lb lesbian out of an airplane at 20,000 feet without a parachute at exactly the same time as you push a 100lb lesbian out of another plane at 10,000 feet, which one hits the ground first?"

Pep ("Who cares";)

PS Although obviously a small unimportant and impotent minority does. Cue more righteous indignation.

The height and terminal velocity means that the lower one will reach the ground first.

I am back on an old favourite forum for a game I hardly play any more, so it will be great to be rid of you Pserendipity Daniels. Thanks for providing the silver lining.
It gets better, you have to pay to use the forum. I would get immense satisfaction seeing you going broke every time you frequently got banned off it.

Edit: Jen ( If you can afford it in the first place.)

Not necessarily.

As with most things, density is key.

The 200lb'er might be solid muscle and sinew, while the 100lb'er might be able to glide home simply by spreading her ample buttocks at the same time as flapping the pendulous fat wings hanging from where her triceps should be.

what's the fun of that game when LL is going to swoop in and steal your kill with their big red button of forum doom.

on the plus side someone is guaranteed to win that game.... and that can't be all bad.

Yes, I agree totally. We don't want any evidence that anyone actually ENJOYED these forums once it's gone.

Whatever floats your boat, Jenshae.

Residents answers where we actually got someone relevant from lindens to answer questions would be nice....

Residents answers as it stands is usually fine for simpler questions like 'where can I get such and such an item ?' or 'how do you sort this problem with my pc.' but if you want to know whats going on behind the scenes at lindens or whats happening with issues such as new innovations, tier fees etc.. its mainly guesswork and opinion.

I have no idea what the thread view page is lol but I did scroll through and I found the blog post.

From reading it they're moving the forum not closing it - or am I missing something?

They're changing it, so some of the sections here will be gone, the classified section for example and this particular forum we're talking in doesn't have a new home either.
