ok y'all have given me a much better perspective. Problem apparantly is the pictures at the places they are for sale, don't do justice to the true size of the dragons. Thanks for the inworld pics, appreciate that, and have a better perspective now.

Seawolf Ancient.. yeah, it's that big.

/me has a bunch of the Isle o' Wyrms scalies, some in more than one size, as well as the big honkin' Seawolf Ancient flying hedgehog. Probably a few others, too.

One thing about the ginormous avatars is that they drive like a pregnant yak. Sometimes difficult to get moving and usually hard to turn. They're great fun but they're definitely not your everyday walkin' around avatars.

I can probably be talked into trying a few on and giving rides sometime this weekend, if you want to see them 'in person.'

I have found my dragon forms to be a great ward against the "wat sexorz111" guys. It's probably because even their tiny brains realize that the freenises aren't big enough to satisfy ;)

Most of us will be glad to show off the ones we have, especially the ones we've gussied up. Never be afraid to ask for a modeling of them at the Isle of Wyrms.

Yup! I don't think I've ever been to Cathedral (or Limbo) when there weren't a few scalies hanging out. Always friendly & helpful folks there.

This is exactly what I want it for. Lately I've been innundated with those guys and they are getting on my nerves. I've heard that, if you just morph into something sexually unappealing, they will go away. The mighty, powerful dragon is very appealing to me. I think my sim LM is on some point of entry somewhere, that isn't one of the Virtual Ability CG's. The naked noobs I am getting there aren't the kind I am'used to', from VAI, but naked noobs with freenises and no desire to learn how to wear pants, and with the sexxoorrzzz requests. How do I show you you aren't welcome, with your neon orange freenis, without banning your azz? A dragon might do it......

The Cathedral has a rezzer in the middle which will show the avatar, but we still like to show them off in action. :) So much better than way.

In that case, I suggest avoiding ones that are made up of a lot of sculpties.

Yes, you can do ubercool stuff with sculpties but if you're looking for shawk & awe, old skool prims are the way to go. They rez, right away.

I ran into a huge (and loud) one at an infohub tonight. It moved surprisingly well, and it was an enormously impressive creation. The person behind the avvie was also quite good-natured and flew it up several meters to show off the animation.

Playing with scale like this (and Greenies, is it?) is something new to SL since I've been back, likely because things are working well enough now to make such things possible. Quite a bit of fun.

Treasure...IM me. I have a Grendel's dragon, and I'll be happy to come and attract the noobs for you, then dragon up and brush them away.

Make sure it's fire breathing, then singe his cinders!

I prefer to dose them with my Butterfly Breath. Or if it's the cops, my Donut Breath.

Talarus.. You're a dragon. Doesn't count.

Treasure, the Isle of Wyrms also has a great looking gryphon. It's upstairs of the dragons.

Thanks, I"m still compiling a list of 'must sees' of all the great ideas here. (not butterflies and donuts though, I don't want to 'cute' anyone to death, lol)

Awww...

Well, I've got fire and ice breath and lightning too. They just seem so...ordinary. Are you SURE you don't want me to bury them in donuts?

IoW has a nice tiny hedgehog avatar for L$500, BTW.

All hedgie avatar proceeds go to a RL wildlife hospital, too. :)

Your 'really naked ferret avatar?' Or some other type of 'really naked' avatar. (Cause, a 'really naked ferret', like dragons blowing butterflies or donuts, sounds awfully cutesy.

ETA Ok should have clicked the pic link first. That's cute too though, not scary enough.

Cute or not, don't you think it'd deter the wannas?

I don't think there are THAT many people into making out with raw skinned muscle tissue.

Hey...those donuts are very dangerous! Check out the fat and cholesterol content on these babies!

They are indeed big!! I have one and it's lots of fun.

They're all sculpties, though. Not complaining about that but if you're looking to throw on a big scaly to discourage some newbie from hitting you up, it might not be the best choice.
