I voted to ban rape play but not the child sex or teen sex for the following reasons:
1) ChildSex- younger than 14: Thinks back to primary-school days long, long ago in the distant mists of time where kids would gather behind the bicycle sheds playin "i'll show you mine if you show me yours" and then running off giggling afterwards.... an innocent enough game that has undoubtedly been played AMONGST KIDS OF SIMILAR AGE since the beginning of time.
2) TeenSex- older than 13: Who's kidding who? Just about every teenager on this planet is horny as hell due to their hormones kicking in and are starting to explore sex even if they lie badly to their parents/mentors/teachers that they're not. Biology and statistics say otherwise. One only needs to pull up the statistics on teenage pregnancy rates to see that they're going at it like hammers and tongs at every opportunity.
Now if you're talking about adults having sex with kids and/or teenagers.... that's a different matter altogether and one which, quite rightly, society has placed a taboo.

Thank you Cybin, a ray of sunshine in a dark room... sane moderation.
I voted that i tolerate all the above. I am an adult and i dont have to watch what i dont want to watch. I know how to move my avatar away from things i dont want to see.
I recognise that others cant tolerate some of the items on the list, i recomend they keep away from the things they cant tolerate, and leave other people who can, alone.
I dont want to tolerate censorship.

Child/teen sexual depictions, real or avatarized, is something I will always oppose, and support banning. The rest fall into a range from patently disgusting to "eh, whatever's clever". I would prefer to see the focus shift toward ways to disconnect these activities from any appearance of endorsement or support by Linden Lab.
I'd like to see the explicit/obscene content in classifieds shift away from Linden Lab's in-world channels to off-world, privately operated websites for instance, with slurls to get the interested party to the in-world destination. The issue to me isn't so much that the activity *occurs* on the grid, even less so when it's on a privately owned region. The issue is that the mechanisms used to expose/advertise the availability of these activities are operated by Linden Lab, and thus the activities are inseparable from Linden Lab, and from Second Life, in terms of the appearance of endorsement.
One interesting side note - for all the work they did to enable us to filter "Mature" content from our searches, it is still possible to open a profile, click over to the Classifieds tab, and view some of the most patently obscene, vulgar material imaginable.

Actually requiring all advertizements , classified / groups / places /etc. to be PG Id support. Id even support removing actively advertizing for sexual services. I wouldnt support not being able to advertize for sexual equpment - such as prim parts, beds, skins, lingerie, etc. since this can be advertized in a discrete manner. Theres Fredricks of Hollywoods in most RL malls after all. Linden Labs should be able to decide what content they allow in their search page. 3rd party sites can handle the rest. I say all that even though I actively participate in sexual things in SL and do not limit myself to just the "playing house" stuff. I just think if Linden Labs needs to step away from appearing to support this content - Its far preferable to BANNING it. ----------------------------------------- Besides - removal from standard advertizing might improve some of the sex industries, which right now seem a bit crass and too internet porn style in my opinion.

My Other:
Eyesores like huge rotating blocks and banner farms.
I find the fact that the above are difficult to avoid more of a disturbance than anything else.
As for the rest -- that's not for me to decide. I really don't care what people do in the privacy of their own home (virtual and real).

I'm for banning anything that violates the laws of whatever jurisdictions LL dcides to bow down to. Otherwise, pixelated avatr to avatar activty between consenting adults is their concern, not mine. Certain activities should be confined to specific areas, where only those interested can be exposed to them. Some things that go on here I may find Obnoxious, distatseful, or just plain stupid. Once The Providers sort out the legailties, let the market dictate where SL goes. If a majority is against an activity, and ensures it is in the proper place, and report violations when not, I think in time said acticivity will be marginalized to a fringe element, or disappear altogether. I do agree that private servers may be the best way to go. I'm not technically astute, but perhaps a situation where LL maintains a Central Entrance server that would be the squeaky clean, PG area where you can log into and then have links to all the private servers. And on the side note, I believe Hate Groups have the right to hate, and to spew their nonesense as long as it doesn't lead to direct action that causes harm. The best way to learn how truly evil these types are is to hear their rhetoric.
