From: Reitsuki Kojima Robin Sojourner sells some barefoot foot-socks, if I recall correctly, the looked good in the picture.
Not sure how they look in game, though, since I'm a furry and normally have fox-feet. I have some of these. Actually they are tintable barefoot socks and gloves to get rid of the skintone that appears on the inside of loose cuffed pants and shirts if you don't wear regular socks and gloves. The bottom part stays transparent, if I'm correct. So they are designed more for wearing with pants, I believe. Robin could probably better answer how they work. From: Nika Talaj Buy a pedicure. If you get a good one, it really really helps, it's cheaper than a new skin, and can be worn with any skin! In addition to coloring your toenails, a good pedicure will somehow add definition to your toes. Pedicures are socks, so will help you out with your open toed sandals. They come in a set with matching manicure (gloves). I only had one pedicure in my inventory to try this theory as I usually wear boots, maybe it was poorly done, but in wearing certain shoes that change the shape of the foot, I found that the color wrapped itself down the side of my big toe. The best look with this particular pedicure was barefooted or with flat sandals. It seems to me that the looks of the foot is affected by three factors. SL foot ugliness, skin, and the shoe filter. I actually used to wear one skin that the toenails started halfway up the toe. I always kept them things covered. Sad because it was nicely done everywhere else. The one I wear now it not too awfully bad on the feet. Barefoot: After reading this post, I tried on several pair of open toe shoes and found that each one shaped my foot just a little bit differently. I really only had one pair of open toed high heel sandals that didn't cause some kind of lump on the part of the foot under the toes. One thing that was consistant is that none of the shoes got rid of the ballooning out of the ankle. Feet with Open Toe High Heels: With Stockings... and btw, I lengthened my arms a little after this pic

Like I say, furry, we don't wear some of you humans crazy inventions Although I guess it would work for a furry too, from how you describe it.

This is so weird...I noticed it today. My feet and calves look deformed. I spent a half hour with sliders and trying different shapes. My feet never used to be this ugly. What can we do? Is this a new bug?

What can we do? Is this a new bug? The feet and calves are simply too blocky. The calves are really horrible - you have a choice between toothpick legs or square calves.

I've never considered my feet particularly ugly. I know there are limitations on the graphics in SL and I am more concerned about dance animations where feet sink into floor or about shoes that don't look right from behind. However I do look forward to LL turning attention to an avatar graphics upgrade one day but it's not high priority. In that upgrade I'd like to see better flexibilty for more realistic poses and animations, a better standard walk and run anim., a better system for skirts so they fit better and the legs don't rip through them, and also a facility for making a loose-fitting non-prim dress or coat in one piece with no noticeable waist.

From: Ricardo Harris Forget the feet!!! Put some ass on some of these women, most have none. They concentrate solely on their breasts but nothing for the hips or their butt.
It's all about the booty! look at my ass and you won't regret...lol

I do find the claw feet ugly, but I thought there was no real way around it. However in my sandbox a girl was developing prim toes for her shoes (at first I was like What The... but then I checked out my feet and was like..wow ok I get this) Anyway, the end result was shoes with an AO and sculptie prim toes! I love them personally. I don't do AO's but this one's very tolerable and subtle. I know prim toes are out there, apparently these aren't the first, but they are sculptie so they look very natural. Anyway Iris Bourdeille makes them if you want to check them out. Personally, I was a clawfoot, now I don't have to be one.

I really hate the av feet, they are indeed ugly, though i dont spend *that* much time looking at mine or others feet, however i do always try to wear shoes that are closed toe.
I hate however when im silly enough to take off the old shoe base when putting on a new pair of shoes, and i walk around blissfully unaware at how ridiculous my feet look

There does seem to be a bug that sometimes shows up around ankles/calfs. I see it sometimes that if I'm wearing trousers, the line of the trouser leg goes doen further than it should, into the skin part of the ankle, and looks kind of spiky on bottom. Then sometimes, even bare legs can get the same effect- a kind of wrong, lumpy ankle thing. I remember someone blogged about prim toes once, but it gave me the eebie jeebies so I didn't look into it. Severed toes

I thought I'd seen prim toes on a fashion blog last autumn or sometime but couldn't search it out now. I did however find these little piggies! http://www12.flickr.com/photos/tgtamara/501843886/in/pool-sloddities/http://www.sluniverse.com/pics/pic.aspx?id=122563

That is exactly what my last room mates toes looked like.... so it was the shoes and not really her flipper feet. Huh! That does look MUCH better doesn't it?

It's all about the booty! I'm amazed at how many rail-thin avs are out there - they would put Mary Kate and Nicole Richie to shame! No muscle tone, no body fat except in the breasts, and bony arms/legs. Body thickness, body fat, saddle bags and the muscle tone sliders are sorely, sorely underused shape options.

From: Ann Launay What's realistic in an unreal world? Becuase of the geometry , shorter legs with larger diameters have problems with blockiness. Im not judging realistic vs idealized cartoon shapes - Im noting an issue with the avatar mesh.

It's all about the booty! Only God knows why, but the skirt layer is set pretty distant from our body, so a nice butt usually turns into an helluva huge big but we women don't usually want to see. Then, with all those Paris Hilton replicas they look even bigger! Pants do not suffer from the same problem, and I have a shape for pants and a shape for skirts. Problem is, I usually forgot to change the skirt shape when I put on pants, so most of the times my butt is smaller than it should be.

From: Finora Kuncoro I have a feeling I'm going to regret asking this, but what are the perfect proportions for a Transformer ?? The proportions that fit in a Toys R Us sack, at a guess... This is such a classic foot-kink discussion! foot-kink people don't know they have a foot kink, and feet in particular are a knife-edge thing - on one side of an incredibly sharply defined border are ugly nasty feet - on the other are beautiful, erotic ones with curved arches, yada yada. What amazes me is the sheer mass of programming time devoted to feet, boots & sexy walks in SL. It's almost a chimpanzee level thing: walk past in a club wearing a pair of Szentasha's thigh boots and all the Homer Simpsons just go "oooOOOOoooohhhhh....."

From: Brenda Connolly You've just described a RL transvestite........ ...but missed out the bit where the leg-hairs poke out of the fishnet. That's authentic. (you haven't lived until you have been served Perrier-Jouet by a french maid with luscious red lips.. and a huge bristly Saddam Hussein moustache!)
