(Oh, and just to nitpick, Anshe didn't make US$1m. Her business has a net worth of US$1m, which means if she sold all her land, she'd have US$1m.)
Just to nitpick a little more, people bought the land from Anshe, so unless she's telling everyone in Dreamland that the money they paid for their land was really just a gift with no value for them, she can't even claim to own the land.

In reality, she doesn't actually own anything, other than what you exchange ingame and transfer its worth into real currency.. the 'land', is no more than rented server space. By 'sellng' it, you are transfering those 'goods' to a new owner to rent at a higher price than you paid for it (thats the plan). If LL pulled the plug tomorrow, anything left behind, accounts to no more than dead binary on a hard disc... even that has more value, because its a reuseable resource.

2--Realization of consumers that US$0.10 is NOT ridiculously expensive...in fact, it's ridiculously CHEAP. (ie...prices of stuff need to go UP)

Huh? Why? Not everyone is here to "make big money fast!"

This isn't real life. It's online entertainment for most folks. And yes - heaven forbid I actually say this - a lot of people DO see SL as a game. I see absolutely no reason why I should raise prices on my merchandise, just so that people who I feel overprice their merchandise can feel better about doing it.

I don't come from money, and I don't intend to contribute to creating an artificial barrier for people who aren't wealthy to participate fully in SL.
