Can anybody log in at the moment? Neither the status page nor the blog tells about any known issue.

i realise that Usagi.. but as there are no lindens online to tell, not much i can do about it, but telling someone here that its just a glitch might save someone sitting there wanting to be in and thinking they cant.

All the same happened to me yesterday.... I couldn't get in for about 90 mins with the same error message. Nothing on the status page, nothing on the blog. And right now the number of residents online has begun to crawl downwards.

I am getting different messages depending on which client I try.

With the Nicholaz browser (18d), I get the message that DNS can not resolve the host name. The standard client tells me that "something unexpected has gone wrong." I then see the "Access denied" screen in both cases.

Well, I can't. funny enough if I try to open the login page in any browser it works. But that doesn't help me login.

I can assure you that for me,
it is not a glitch at all and that
getting in is very much the problem :)

Exactly. I wouldn't care much for any message as long as it will let me log on in the end. Which it doesn't. I'm based in Germany, btw.

My words.
As I said, I wouldn't care much about getting some message, I would try anyways, but....no login...
Beta, tho, seems to be working for me. Weird.

Germany here as well.. hm..
so far I tried the following solutions
without sucess in different combinations:

a) clear SL Cache
b) resetting my DSL connection to get a different IP from my provider
c) logging in an alt I normally use for testing
d) restarting the computer, after wiping any temporary windows/sl/internet files automanually :)

I then tried to connect using
the evil voice first look viewer
and got the client side pop up:

"Unable to connect to Second Life.
DNS could not resolve the host name."

Which in my humble wild guess could implicate that there is a problem
a) with the "internet" routing path to Linden Labs
b) with local linden lab infrastructure..

Same here - based in germany but can't login AT ALL. I always get the error message "Unable to connect" and sometimes I get the DNA message.

And I noticed that when I am trying to log in I get messages that weren't there before - You know, during the "Second Life may appear to be frozen" period.
There are messages like "Verifying cache files" and "Login attempt 1".

I hope that this issue gets resolved soon - i have business to do inworld and this issue is really annoying me.
