Is there really much reason to fear an AR?

Do it on another's land and you may be doubling the load of AR's you get.
If I find people fighting for real on my estate they get ejected, banned and AR'ed.
I haven't got the time or inclination to figure out who's 'right' and who's 'wrong', and why should I bother, or care? It's my land, and you are the problem.
You could get two AR's, for one action there - one from me, one from the griefer.

Don't make the mistake of 'knowing' that LL realise who the griefer really is, or care either... They work like I do.

I couldn't be bothered then finding out why you decided to ban / AR me either, I just ban you from all my lands too regardless, just to come down to your level I suppose :P

After people start banning you for banning them you may find alot of places you can't get into too cause you'll be banning/getting banned by more people than I am :)

I gotta say, I agree with Inigo.

Two people oribiting each other on my land? Both banned, both ARed.

Tegg, you mentioned being banned for doing it on your land. If I recall, that is not ARable, only doing it on other's land.

My friends don't orbit people. ESPECIALLY on my land.
If they did? Well, they wouldn't be my friends.

Well, I guess you just don't 'get' it, do you?

Firstly, griefers generally don't HAVE any land to ban anyone from.

Secondly, if they do, it'll almost certainly be mainland, and I don't set foot in that mess anymore.

Thirdly, my estate is the sort of place I get several IM's about daily from people telling me what a nice place it is - I don't want assholes spoiling things for visitors, legitimate visitors that is.

Finally, do you have any idea how big SL is? Who cares if a trouble maker bans me from their land, even their estate? If a hundred estate owners banned me it wouldn't affect my enjoyment of SL one bit. But I will not tolerate misbehaviour on my estate in SL any more than I tolerate misbehaviour in my house in RL.

PS. I adopted my policy over 2 years ago and in that time I haven't been banned from any land to my knowledge!

I go by this same policy. so far it has worked except for 1 instance where a griefer pretended to reform themselves and earned their way into being a EM to a Estate i never visit anyway. after a brief chat with the estate OWNER that person was removed from their position.
