Every single big update results in inability to log in. My mind is boggled. They obviously can't check it properly before they go online.

It may say there are 0 logged in at the moment, but there are people in there. Probably all checking their friend lists thinking no one else can get in because those arent working either. Hopefully this will be cleared up sometime throughout the day.

SL webpage now says over 23k logged in. Looks like things are improving *ducks*

It wasn't just LL.

At the same time Cognet (one of the Internet backbones that covers Washington DC, New York City, Milwalkee and most of California north of Los Angeles) was down hard. Internet Health Report was showing red on them and Trace Rt's to servers there (Including Linden Labs') were showing over 600ms pings at times.

thousands of people needing their fix, trying to download a 30MB update and thanks to the backbone taking sometimes 600ms just to get 1 bit of data... (8 bits to the byte) and yeah, things moved to a crawl. seems to be getting much better now.

Well since I'm at my night class right now, I hope its enough time for things to get working when I get home. LL has till 11 PM EST till I start going thru my SL Withdrawl symptoms

I am soooo disappointed. I have been without the internet for about 2 months and finally get it back today only to find that I still cant jump back into sl.

I wish they would allow paying members to use the version that works for them. I couldn't use 1.14 or 1.14.1 without crashing so I've been using 1.13 with no problems. Now they've taken that option away and given us...*this*...in return.

I've paid $72 for a membership and over $300 for land. If they're going to make it so I can't access those things why can't I get a refund?

I've updated my video drivers. I am crossing my fingers that it doesn't crash!

I managed to log on no less than three times, although the first one took *ages*. I logged off and re-logged just to see whether it was a fluke that I managed to get on, but no, back in-world I went with no problems.

I am amazed, simply amazed. All my stuff was there, everything seemed fine.

Now if only any of my friends had been there...

Unfortunately, backwards compatability is not always possible.
Code gets changed and older versions won't work with the new code.

I was able late last night to get on, so apparently this message had something to do with login congestion. Interestingly enough, I was not offered a new TOS to agree to. My entire friend list was also absentee, even though some of them were IMing me, hehe.

A kind person named Tyler told me to update my video card since i couldn't even get to the log-in screen with 1.14 so last night my husband (my knight in shinning armor again!) up dated my "chip-set-thingie" and Video drivers and got me in and set up just as before around 3am EST! i'm on a Dell with an ATI X600 video card so if you also have an ATI video card and are having problems try updating your drivers and maybe even you chip-set-thingie if it hasn't been done in a long time (i didn't even know it existed and have had the computer for a year now). Hope this helps thoes still having problems.

Yes, I never got a TOS agreement form.
Friends list was down but search made a good replacement.
I did a 'print screen' at the logon when it showed zero online .. forgot to save it though .. would have made a fun screensaver LOL
