Tossing out an idea: Forum "Open House Week"

Hey gang, SL Parade of Home groups basically does this same thing; it's not a contest or anything, more just like open houses where people can come and hang out and chat and dig each others' digs. Eben Slade is founder and there's a few people in the group now. I think we might be having an open house somewhere this coming weekend, but don't quote me on that.

I had thought that the Parade was only open to places selected as being "chosen" for the tour (ie, "best of the best".

Well, anyway I certainly don't want to conflict with a much better organized venture and it would probably be confusing to have two similar things going on at once.

So if they are doing something for it this weekend I guess I should back off with this idea ...

Or we could do both... ... Anyway, the group is open enrollment!

No, don't back off! I really like the idea of a Forum Open House, no group joining necessary. It's so beautifully free form, and I think it will really encourage even the shyest among us to join in.

So my vote is for both. It's such a fun idea, no reason to put limits on it.


... oh, and I vote for week long. Exploring takes time!
