From: Atashi Toshihiko If you ban him from your parcel he can't enter your land any more, but he can stand half a sim away (or a whole sim, or two sims away) and camera control back into your property. Before I estate-banned him and delisted my stuff, I noted that most of his 'results' were from incorrect locations, i.e. he identified a bunch of stuff as being for sale on the 'Beach' parcel, and very little for sale in the 'Mall' parcel. So he is standing / floating / whatever in one spot and scanning all over, logging stuff in neighboring parcels.
-Atashi Interesting. so if i set my entire sim to ban the sheep bot, and split off say a 32m area in the center and not ban the sheep-bot there, and set that 32m parcel to damage (designated combat area), and set an automated gun turret there that only targets the sheep-bot.... hmmmm.... I have to think about this <insert evil grin here>

From: Ceera Murakami Yes, that was the sheep's spybot, collecting info on everyone's in-world prims for ESC. Huh? For what purpose?

From: Jesseaitui Petion Huh? For what purpose? Marketing. The corporations think that we haven't been bombarded by their garbage enough in RL and want to get us here as well.

From: Colette Meiji From what Forsetti was saying , I think this is correct. They dont do anythign with the data, though.
He didnt even say if they delete it , he said specifically that they dont do anything with it,
Besides display the portion of the data thats on the search list. I asked about this and was specifically told that data on objects which are not going to be displayed are not stored at all.
