Do the men hold title as sole griefers in game? You never seem to see a woman wearing a huge vagina attachment in a pg area.

The idea that only "boys" are griefers is completely absurd. I mean no disrespect to the OP, I just think that the idea that only males can be jerks is completely without merit.

While I doubt that many females are inclined to run around and poke people with oversized primdongs, I don't doubt that there are some females who like to cause people grief in other ways.

There is something horribly wrong with most of this discussion. Shouldn't someone explain to the OP that avi gender here is nothing to do with real-life gender? Which means that no real-life gender observations or generalisations or stereotypes have any meaning in regard to avi gender ?

Even if every griefer you ever meet is dangling a huge penis, they could every one be female in real-life.

In fact, penis-dangling could be a more attractive option for those who in real-life simply don't possess one. Those of us who have them have become accustomed and laid back, except perhaps the very young, who shouldn't be here.

Actually, three of our most persistent griefers had female avs, and one of the most offensive was known female IRL.

Ain't that the truth.

From: Shirley Marquez
The first person I ever had to eject from my land was a woman. So no, not all the griefers are male.

First person I banned from my land for griefing was female, (AV and in RL)

When it comes to the behavior of: "I don't respect you, I'm bored and don't know how to do anything to get you to respect me... so I'm going to be annoying." ... it is in no way limited to just males.

If there is any gender polarization in how they go about being griefers, (o be crassly stereotypical about it), I find that the trend seems to be that female griefers use words more than actions to torment others, and male griefers go for more physical or visual offenses.

The temptation to grief is easy to give into for new folks, until they find something in SL they like. If they don't invest themselves into our community or our world, they have nothing to lose, and thus don't care if they get banned in a blaze of glory. Suicide griefers.

I've known a few women who used attachments to fart, sounds & particles.

That's one thing I don't miss about the old welcome area.

I'm not found of gesture greifing.

EDIT: Fixing typo, "open" -> "one"

Dearly Darling,

I too find the talking pregnant tummy and the reefer talking smoke mighty tedious. The talking genitalia makes my skin crawl. It's like being around a wet, dirty dog....you can't get away soon enough.....

Ever Yours,

You know you're incredibly bored during grid downtime when....

Ok so I <3 google and was really really trying to avoid cleaning during downtime, so I poked around (no pun intended, really) and there's actually a site that sells them.

While we are stereotyping, I find that the majority of people who hang around sandboxes and build interesting things are also men.

I meet plenty of women at clubs, but when I want to meet interesting creative dudes I just head over to the sandboxen because they outnumber women there by a bunch.

Okay without joking like my earlier post (or at least trying not to do so....)

Since there is no way for regular users to be able to tell if the people behind the griefers are male or female... we can't make an accurate (or even closely accurate) assumption that all or most griefers are males.

Do griefers prefer male avatars? That is debateable and could be discussed.

Personally I feel like shooting a few people for no reason once in a while.

But hey without working parts for both genders I still say castration is the cause of all griefing.

(Okay I lied about not joking. :p :D )

Well I wouldn't call griefers men nor women... more like Little ^%$^%$ with brains of a 5 year old would be more appropriate.

All men grief and all women have sex for money. Welcome to SL.

MM

PS: Notice I am griefing, since I am male...

Actually, another way to look at it. Of course all the griefers are men - there are no women in SL. The ones with female avatars are just 40-year-old single fat men. If you saw the South Park WoW episode, they're like that one dude who played the awesome assassin, only in SL!
