I think they do get some Linden dollars to buy things with, both for buying things they want personally, and for being able to buy things when they need to, such as for example testing whether the buying system is working.

Some of the Linden offices are furnished with some fairly pricey stuff. Some of that may be gifts, I suppose, and some just bought out-of-pocket, but I'd guess they get a little "walking around money", too.
if it actually gets them walking around in-world, I wish they'd all get lots more of it.

Blue Linden says they get an allowance to spend in-world checking out resident creations: https://blogs.secondlife.com/message/4751#4751

From: Scylla Rhiadra I've met quite a few Lindens in-world, in different contexts. But I have exactly one Linden bear in my collection. I guess I'm not pushy enough. I've really enjoyed every Linden I've met inworld. Even when I didn't like the decisions they made over things I might have brought to their attention, they've always left me understanding why it went the other way. The inworld Lindens get my respect. But the ones on those blogs... That's a whole different can of worms.

From: Meade Paravane No need to be pushy! Just an "may I have a bear, please?" will usually get you one. (Hides sex-bed and strap on) Oh. That's it?

From: Joshooah Lovenkraft I've always been curious about the in-world perquisites offered to Linden Lab employees. Does anyone know if they get a weekly stipend of sorts or free plots of land? Anyone familiar with how it all works? I doubt if they want anything from our world unless it is a guaranteed income and a place in the sun. I wouldnt blame them if they never come to sl. I do think they deserve a Friday night table at their local bar wheree they can chortle over our foibles.

I got tired of trying to collect Linden stuff. There used to be vendors and they'd always be empty when I got to them.

I seem to remember that back in 2006 Lindens were getting $L5,000/month stipend. I always assumed this was to give a little push to newer creators and the economy in general. No idea what it is now. The first Linden I spoke to was Cyn, who walked into a store where my alt was a model, and miraculously I was not AFK. She was looking for boots. After I shouted "pssst everybody, it's a LINDEN!" I hopped off my pose to walk her over to the boots, and was immediately stuck in crippling lag. I couldn't even really chat well, but I did get an IM off to the store owner. I saw her rezzing in seconds before I crashed. Really, it was the best thing I could have done in the company of the future VP Support!

I seem to recall there having been a notecard with info on LL employee conduct. I think I had one. I don't seem to find one, though I don't recall the name of it. Liaison, LL, Linden Lab, rules, conduct, nor requirements produce such a notecard when put into inventory search.

That's a whole different can of worms. Yeah. The only Linden I've ever met in-world (in this case, at an office hour) whom I didn't like right away was . . . hmmm, guess I shouldn't name names, should I? But he was evidently grumpy and pissed off at me because I wasn't asking the questions that he wanted to answer, and as there weren't that many other people there whom he could focus on instead of me, he sort of had to reply to me. His irritation was pretty evident. Actually, I sort of enjoyed that.

From: Pussycat Catnap I've really enjoyed every Linden I've met inworld. The worst ones are long gone now. Also the best one, but I, ever the optimist, have some ungrounded hope she may be back one day. As much as M's hires have been sometimes uninspired, I've not found them downright malicious as were some in the ancien régime.

I remember a liason linden in 2007 telling me in a dutch forum that he got a private sim, not sure if it was just free setup or the tier was free too and if those perks have been cut by now.

happy employees make happy workers, so yeah, I'd trust them.... I'd also expect that wouldn't be the guy to send to the new client meeting....
