Which translator (if any) do you use? I have a few in my inventory, but I'm curious which ones seem (to you) to do the best / most accurate translating.
I've got the Metanomics.net Language Translator v2.1 HUD , and Ferd's Free Translator 7.3. I know I've seen others out there; I just cannot recall their names.

I've been using Q-Translator 2.1 since I was born two months ago. It works really well. I got lucky as it was the first one I picked.

That list is hardly 'comprehensive'.
Like all blogs, they more than likely chose their favorites, or what they only knew about or was shown/given to them. I have no idea how Hank Ramos Universal Translator -Free- is not up there and he has been making his forever. _____________________

I recommend the Q-Translator too. I am not saying it's the best -- I don't know -- but I've been using it for several months and it's more than adequate for my (admittedly limited) needs. When it's translating a European language with which I'm familiar it seems pretty accurate, and when I've used it for stuff like Japanese, I've been able to follow what the other person's talking about and vice versa.

I tried the Universal Translator (bought from Xstreet) but gave it up in the end - now I use Bablefish for on-line translation. Seems to work

I saw that Ferd Frederix gave a shout out for Hank Ramos' Universal Translator in the comments after the blog entry. March 12th, 2009 at 12:18 pm Please add to your list the HR Universal Language Translator from Hank Ramos. Hank used to sell his Translator for $500 Linden, but recently dropped the price in-world to zero. It goes for $250 on xstreetsl.com. It is also an excellent translator with many expert level features. _____________________

Also voted. I've been wanting translation built in for ages.
It would be good if the "suggest a better translation" that Google has when you translate an url at the Google Languages site could be implemented. _____________________

I've used Simbolic, and X-Lang, and Q-Trans, and Ferd's Free Translator.
They all work pretty well...but I find that I always reach for Ferd's these days. It works well, and it takes up almost no screen space, and it's the easiest to use. _____________________

I went to collect Simbolic language translator at Cupo's once I befriended a Japanese friend. Although it is a helpful tool, I do not use it often because on a number of occasions, the translated text appears incoherently due to a number of reasons. In the end, I have to use Babel Fish to translate the meaning of the text- word-for-word. It helps tremendously when the friend is patient too. ._.

Not free any more. Still a great product tho. I stand corrected. It's free if you pick it up on the grid. L500 on Xstreet. Oh what an odd policy. I guess Hank has to get his income somehow _____________________
