I'm trying not to slide into anything. I think I'm reaching my peak as a degenerate, and I don't want to go downhill until old age and infirmity force me to.

Brenda - you can be whatever you want. I think degenerate encompasses deviance, but maybe if you use both terms it indicates an area of specialty. I don't think there's a rule book, and if there were, nobody would follow the rules anyway - bunch of degens...

Be my guest!

One of my deviant tendencies is that I really enjoy seeing my quotes in other people's sigs.

I love Craps. Can a person be Degeneratly Deviant? Or Deviantly Degenerate?
Yeah, but then the other deviants or degenerates shun them.

Kind of a purist thing.

Hey, we all have to draw the line somewhere.

It just happens to be a very fuzzy and crooked line... But we still draw it :P

I would find that troubling myself. I'm just referring to the _presence_ of a 'kid' in a "mature" environment. I was never abused like the example you mentioned, and please don't think that I was trying to describe my up-brining as an experience to be compared to Nazi atrocities. I was just there and enjoying the event in my own way, just like I am here in SL. (^_^)

In fact, maybe that's why my avatar is so comfortable to me... I never thought about it until now, but being skinny, 4' tall, wandering around in shredded jeans, and mingling with the deviant crowd quite joyfully isn't too far removed from the way I grew up. Heh... I fit my role all too well. It's interesting the self-discoveries made when talking about this kind of stuff... (=_=)y

Oh not at all. We all have our views.

I just relate kid things with non-adult content. A carefree life without innuendo and awkward moments beyond falling off a bicycle and skinning one's knee. My life as a kid was like that until we moved to NYC when I just turned 10. Suddenly we got pamphlets about drug abuse etc in school. We never had this problem where I lived before and I dont think anyone I know would have been motivated to get messed up with what they warned us about. No one beat their kid in public, and the thought of kids being dragged around after hours or being beaten by parents - PARENTS? - were inconceivable.

It was just a different world.

And of course there was a wall between parents and kids no matter the rapport.

The OP forgot to include self righteous judgementals who want to decide what values are correct for everyone else.

SL is made up of people and it will reflect the differences in personality, values and interests in the same proportion it does in RL. It's easy to find the negative. But it's more rewarding to seek out the positive.

You mean like the OP? :)

And adjust it continually to suit our convenience.

Truthfully, I prefer a good spanking to flogging. Flogging is a bit...impersonable.

flogging...whipping...paddling...spanking...gotta love them all ;) And believe me, non of them are impersonable.

Neither is my Wand by the way, sice this weekens one of my favs :D

Doesn't matter- she looks awesome just swinging it about :) Makes me want to investigate the whole Warrior Princess concept.

The morality of SL is going downhill so fast, that in a couple of years it may be as bad as RL. A couple years after that, it may be as bad as Congress.

I wasn't even going to respond because... um... yeah... BUT... I have to say... I heart this comment very much. *giggles and flicks her neko tail deviantly*

Besides... morality is in the eye of the beholder. I think senseless war and hate crimes (and even that requires some serious defining) are far more dreadful than any "perverse" activity I've seen/experienced in RL or SL (not much perversion in SL though 'cause I'm not interested *heeee*).

Lots of people lie... everywhere... always. *shrugs*

Lots of people have all kinds of sex... everywhere... always. *shrugs*

Who cares, as long as no one really gets hurt? Same can't be said for war and hate.

*skips to the last few pages because, like, OMG... too many pages to read*

Oops... wrong account... This Lucrezia Lamont... Luneko is my alt of deviance. LOL

Is it too late to register with the Deviant Party?

Actually, I've been doing some initial forays into a book that (in my mind, at least) looks like "Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About SLex (But Were Afraid to Ask)." Methinks I'm about to mine this thread for friend invites. :)

Lindal has already beaten me into oblivion with that sword. Twice.

I so want to do it again, you can keep the floggings and spankings.
