From: Trout Recreant Can I get one of someone else? Maybe several. I could collect them and trade them like Star Wars figures.
Ooooh! I have a mint condition Brenda Connolly with the limited eddition panties. I'll trade you for your Waitress Ann With Animated Pie! I opened my rookie collection Rioko because I wanted to play with the dragon avatar, but I still have Raymond and Sideways in the box. That one will hold its value.
There's a convention coming up. I'm going to go dressed like Malachi. Hopefully, I can pick up a Refrigerated Oryx. That would complete my Ladies of the Forums Collection. I've got a spot for her in my display case between Lindal and Collette. Don't forget the mutiple editions of Sobri; there's the Psychadelic Hermit Crab, the Angry Head, the Anorexic Male Model, and others! This valuable Collector's Edition assortment of Sobri dolls won't last long, so get them now!

Hey, do you still have the Michael Bigwig with the interchangeable hair and party hat and lifelike torch-kung-fu action? I'll trade you an Alyx and Raynor wedding set for it. It might bring me good luck with sploders. He's MONEY on those things. I can kick in a Chris Norse if you want. It doubles as a security orb and hates big government, but it doesn't wear clothes most of the time.

I could have phrased that better. Bigwig is a luckbox on the sploders. I don't know about you two.

Don't forget about the Priest Zaphod doll! That's gotta be worth a bundle, especially if it's still in-box with the original rosary accessory.

I understand what's involved in making one of those, but...
USD $100-200 = ~L$27,000-54,000.
That's way too much for a plastic figurine of my avi.
Maybe if I was super rich and self centered like The Donald.

And erm, when did Raynor and I marry? My mistake - I must have misread something posted somewhere else. Scratch that. The Alyx and Raynor dolls are sold separately. They just seem to be connected in some inexplicable way. Mystery dolls. That's it. Very mysterious. Anyway, I really want the Linden collection. If you stick pins in them...well, nothing happens because the voodoo feature is borked, but if they ever fix it, it will be awesome!

Maybe if I was super rich and self centered like The Donald. Wow, you are the second person to equate R$ to L$ before proclaiming that it was too expensive! I mean there have been jokes going around about "How do you know your addicted to second life" but I think when you convert all R$ costs into L$ befiore deciding if something is expensive or not.. thats right on target! Hee hee The price seems VERY resonable actually, given the cost and time to make it. But still, a tad steep over all :/

Trout, don't get all apologetic- we ARE an item, I have repeatedly said so! It's just that I never knew we actually got married....maybe a really exclusive kind of future limited figure pack....like those elusive Star Wars things I have... *outs herself again for being a geek* But we're SO not joined at the hip or something! I want a Torley Linden doll! It glows in the dark and the limited pack comes in ten completely different shapes.

There you go. I must have a pre-release pack of the two of you. I know a guy whose cousin works for a guy who coordinates the sweatshop that makes the figures and he got it for me. Very rare. If you pull the cord in the back the dolls talk, and they have an incredible vocabulary.
I want a Torley Linden doll, too. Do you think it could address my support ticket?

If I wanted one, the price seems decent to me, well the lower end of the price, not $200USD, you said 3d print? what is that, I thought he hand carved them?. But, I don`t want one. To top it off, This thread struck me as either (A) A hidden advertisement for this brand, or (B) An individual interested in starting up a similar business.

Personally I would not buy one either.
The Z Corp process tends to have a very noticeable texture, which while fine for general purpose cast parts and protoypes, is not really good enough for a figurine IMO.
Plus the Z Corp machine does not have the capacity to accurately produce the subtle skin tones and colouring from an avatar.
Now if they were to offer bronze figurines cast from this using the "lost part" process, that would be a lot more fun, not to mention more durable and classier.
