I mean, it's either too baggy or too tight for me (in my eyes). So, what do you guys mostly leave it on? Yeah.. weird topic here but I just want to know >_>

I have two pair of jeans that I wear. My =RaC= jeans fit kinda lose but not baggy and I have a pair of DH Boot Denims that fit nice (not too baggy not too tight) but are too low for some of my shirts. That seems to be the biggest problem I have is the jeans sitting too low for my Ts and showing my belly button.
![]() My biggest complaint is that it seems all the men’s pants have that 70s bell bottom flair thing going on. Id like to have a true boot cut! |

I grew up in the seventies. We wore jeans so tight they almost needed to be surgically removed. But I was too skinny then to make them appear tight anyway. Now that I have some middle aged spread and could wear tight pants, it's fashionable to wear quadruple X's with the crotch down around your knees and you have to hold them up with one hand to walk.
I tell ya' there ain't no justice! In SL I like mine super tight for boots -- a little less so for other types of shoes. |

I assume this is for SL? If so I prefer very tight so I can wear boots. I hardly ever wear sneakers so pants fitting tight at the bottom on an underwear layer are my preference.

Well being a Female and a little yellow Robot, I don't wear male pants. But do men have prim Pants, like us women do? I know I wear tight when I wanna wear boots, and flared when I wear certain heels, for certain outfits I wear prims.

My male alt wears tight leather or rubber pants (Depending on the outfit) that tuck into his boots.

RL?
I like my 501's so tight you can tell my religon. SL? OK, here's my secret for buying jeans in SL. I buy women's jeans. Lower rise and the butt is usually shaded to give it a nice shape. |

We just want to make sure we look good for the ladies ![]() I just don't wanna look like a damned flamingo. I kinda just tweak the pants until the crotch ain't "skin-tight", and the legs don't look like a Marvel superhero. Still, most of my av's pants are tighter than I wear in RL. I don't wear boots over my pants, ever. It wouldn't work anyway, Xio's legs are too muscular, and they show through the calves. I go for the boot-cut "Wolverine" look nowdays...meaning kinda flared at the bottom, and straight around the knees. _____________________

It wouldn't work anyway, Xio's legs are too muscular, and they show through the calves. I discovered a compromise solution for this. Instead of editing the upper part of the boot until it's really awkwardly big, I can get away with wearing socks that are almost the exact color of the boot, if not the texture. Works great. Or you could have a special thin calved shape saved just for boots the way ladies save a butless shape for the default dress layer. Another solution are the invisiprim boots that make legs look like balloons until they rez all the way. (Sorry, Flo. We are straying from the tight / loose pant question. A more burning issue for a male av is how to get a jacket that doesn't have a weird butt crack.) |

I was shown to a great shop, FNKY. I typically don't adjust the clothes I buy unless I am wearing boots then I shorten the pants if allowed. If I can't shorten them I wear a different pair.
I don't like the jacket look from the back and I have several tee shirts I can't wear because of the bare mid-drift look. "CX" |

Some women's styles are using the jacket layer to either extend the lower edge of the top, or raise the waistline of the pants.
Mens designers should adopt the same trick. /me pats CX on the cheek and Yosef on the...other cheek as she breezes out of the room and off to work. _____________________

I won't buy any shirts unless they are on the jacket layer...only exception would be a shirt that includes an underwear layer that matches up with the shirt for a tucked in look. My favorite pants are usually low rise or just below the waist that turns all shirt layer clothing into midriffs, which IMO is not a good look for me lol. |

Some women's styles are using the jacket layer to either extend the lower edge of the top, or raise the waistline of the pants. Mens designers should adopt the same trick. A large percentage of them already do. There's a review on Second Man, dating back to last July, describing the way Dan Senyurt did it. I'm not sure if he's the first designer of men's clothing to do so, but at least it proves that the idea has been around for a while. The review can be found at http://www.second-man.com/review-shirts-by-dan-senyurt.html , if you're interested. (I have no connection with either Senyurt or Second Man, other than owning some stuff by the former and reading the latter regularly.) |
