login failed. unable to connect to a simulator

try loging in at pawpaw sim thats what i did and i got in ..after i waited 3 hours

I just talked with Warrne via the outworld live help chat thingy... he said they are looking into it now. When asked why there is no blog post... he stated "I have no idea. That is outside my department."

COMMUNICATION is key SL... with your patrons and your staff!!!

I can't believe nearly four hours later this dumb thing is still happening. This is ridiculous!

Just FYI - issue number on JIRA is svc-308 that Kevin Paisley started. I went over and commented and voted. Please consider doing the same to help bring attention to the problem.

Well still a no go. Same old thing. Cannot Connect To Simulator. Really getting bored of watching CNN.

I still see nothing on the blog and see more and more people logged in.

I dont have a premium account but have pumped over 1100USD into SL since october and am going to be very angry if somehow my account got deleted from the database server or something.

Starting to get worried that maybe the database server lost our accounts or something. Says it is still active on the SL website.

I really with they would say something on the blog. Feel left in the dark here.

Getting unable to connect to simulator message too and no announcement on blog. How frustrating.

My home sim just went down and couldnt log back in, all regions were unable to connect to, so I tried paw paw, worked first time Thanks Jessica

I had this same issue this morning, could not get on. I tried first look and it popped me in right away....problem is the world is a bad acid trip for me in firstlook. I had a problem last night with SL so when this happend to me I just assumed it was my client. I deleted the client, set it to download again, went to work. Who knows what awaits me when I get home.

your welcome i been in game for more than 2 hours and need to relog and im affraid i wont get back in me and another person tried loggin in at pawpaw i strongly suggest you try pawpaw ..and get at me to let me know if that worked good luck

I dont think the problem is where you are trying to log into, it seems to be what geographical location you are actually trying to log in from.

I cant log into pawpaw. Are any others who are unable to log in today located in the western portion of the USA?

hm... im here in new york. and the person i know that couldnt get in was in AZ ... i just figured pawpaw was the way to go cuz it let me in and another person :/ i still dont see nothing about it anywhere else that there is a issue. i am trying to get ahold of some sort of help in world to get some help for yall cuz i know its frustrating.

I've had that login problem today (and on other occasions too). I've found that logging into a known empty sim often does the trick. Fortuna is usually my first choice when I have login problems. I suppose any of the mainland void sims would also do the trick.

has anybody tried calling linden labs? 1800-294-1067 i know i did but office wasnt open at the time when i was having these issues.. so i never did get threw.. i think calling them would be more personal and the point would get acrossed ...and just think... downtime is tommrow we all know how that goes :/

Most of the phone numbers no longer work...we're expected to use the Support Portal for everything except billing and, if eligible, concierge service.

Same problem for me as well. Its 7:42pm Pac time, California.

My alt is using a free account and continually gets the 'Unable to connect to sim' and I have tried several different sims including those mentioned above. My paying account is having no trouble logging on, has logged out and back in several times with no problem, and obviously I'm trying to log in from the same physical location. (Mountain West US)

I can login pretty much anywhere, except for a private island, which I'm supposed to be developing.
(Which other developers are actually in - right now)

Mine is a paying account and it cannot connect to a simulator, yet my roomie's account which is a freebie, on the same pc, can get in just fine. Mine worked fine Tuesday morning. /sigh

same here. i tryed everything. restarting computer, reinstalling the client try the first look. every time the same message: "Unable to connect to Second Life. Desplit our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong."

first the secondlife.com website wasn´t avalible. just get a "Timed Out" now the website works but still can´t login.
how depressing

I get the following message when i try to log in:

Unable to connect to Seccond Life
DNS could not resolve the host name.
Please verify that you can connect to www.seccondlife.com

No problem to connect!
I had this problem once before, reinstalled second life and all was fine. But it can't really be the solution... Has somebody experienced the same trouble? Can anybody help?
I would be really grateful!
