Check out The Velvet (my fav), Wet Kitty, or the Stardust. All three are very laid back places with good groups of regulars and great music

The folks at The Velvet (in Iron Fist) are committed to providing a fun environment with great dj's, music, a variety of theme nights, and conversation. It is definitely worth checking out. Tell 'em Molly sent you.

...Laguna Beach Club. No escorts, no dance poles, no Top 40. Just great people and a beautiful relaxed atmosphere oceanside and under the stars.

Also check out our Live@Laguna events offering the best in live music performance that SL has to offer. See you beachside. ~Vali

I'm making a list of places to explore next time I have more than a few minutes to do that. If only I didn't have to worry about rl obligations. ;-)

There are so many clubs out there and they seem to be sex themed in some way. Dancers (strippers), escorts (prostitutes), naked pictures of girls on the wall. How about a nice club that doesn't have that? I have been to The Shelter, but it would be nice to have more than one, you know? Sometimes a girl wants to dance just to dance. ;-)

Or maybe I'm looking for dance in all the wrong places? ;-)

Sometimes one has to accept one's fate.

Actually, the best solution is to whomp yourself up a dog-ugly avatar: nobody comes up to me in dance clubs and offers me sex. Perhaps I should start selling my skin as a sex-repellent 8)

(given my other spooky experience of proportioning my av to within 1% of my physical height, without being given the option to type in numbers, this could be one of SL's more thought-provoking lessons: if your mind produces an av which says "hey sexy" even when you don't intend it to, how much are you in control of that process, and what does it give you? Could you be suffering from Oscar Wilde's complaint, which in summary says that the only thing worse than being approached for sex in clubs, is NOT being approached for sex in clubs?)

It's not about being approached for sex, it's the themes of the clubs. It's more me visiting those instead of looking around exploring. I look looking good and fashioinable - and most of my clothes are freebies that I coordinated into outfits - that's the fun part of SL. :)
