Sounds like the Twilight Zone episode where there little boy would wish people into the corn field whenever they did something he didn’t like.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the Amazing Stories where the boy had unlimited powers and his family was scared of him. And then a beautiful teacher came in the house and took him away in the end. He was an evil little boy.

Premise is exactly the same, but trust me, it was a Twilight Zone episode.

You've only missed one of the major literary inspirations for Second Life.

*ponders tattooing "Poor Impulse Control" on his forehead*

That explains it.

Correct. TZ did it first. "It's a Good Life" was the episode.

It was a pretty good book, 'til the last 100 pages or so.

Last I saw, there was a public version of the cornfield in the Longfellow region. Not sure if it's still there, and it did not look as nice as the "real" one (judging from piccies). I'd love to see the real one -- as long as I could leave right after.

Mari

I need to find: 1) the Longfellow region; and 2) a raven avatar.

Maybe this is the Cornfield.
