if were voting for worst built sim - Id go with Hard Alley
its supposed to be a well done build which reflects a nasty ugly urban setting But really its kind of a nasty build reflecting a nasty ugly urban setting. So the layers of Nasty are definitely unimpressive (or impressive depending on how you look at it I guess) |

Not sure what the worst sim is, my vote would normally be for Thunberg. But this must surely count as the worst parcel. http://www.flickr.com/photos/29615078@N00/399590049/ That picture doesn't do it justice, at all. It is one of the worst sims I have ever seen. I never knew that so many spinning signs could be packed into such a small area. _____________________

I added the Thunberg sim to the first post with credit going to Skye and Dnate for this one. If you look closely, you can see Dnate in the screenie I took. The link is also provided in the first post.
On another note, I removed a bit of my first post. I made this thread strictly for people to enjoy/challenge themselves and I do not want anyone thinking this was solely made to promote my website -- such is not the case. As such, I removed all information pertaining to it. Now, that being said and done... Anyone think they can beat Thunberg? _____________________

With that new continent starting to roll out, who's betting there'll be another Thunberg (maybe there's another on the mainland we're not aware of) soon?

In about 2 weeks you can add Federal to that list, after I sell my last parcel there. Land resellers have been committing crimes of terraforming on my other previous holdings (all of which still remain for sale after 3 months of flipping back and forth between land barons, so much for those "demand" theories.) The sim already looks like sh*t because of them and it will just get worse.

I checked out the land referenced in the "Neighbor's land worst than a sandbox" thread (forgot the sim name I'll come back and edit) and man what a dump. One beautiful house surrounded by ban lines and neighbors with junk trying to get rid of him, and there was even a 512 plot devoted entirely to promoting a pyramid scam (since AR'd). I think the beautiful house in the sim full of garbage lends this sim a special poignancy. If it wins, give the money to him. I got curious, so I found that thread, and then started checking out the land in that person's picks. Dear god, Mullett is horrid. I mean, the houses along one side are actually really nice, but surrounding the infohub on the east border is The Abyss. _____________________

I would never have thought that something could possibly be any uglier than SandBox Island or any of the Linden-owned public sandboxes.... Are you telling me some of these candidates are worse? Wow.

Thanks Johan, some very good advice there
![]() I believe the webmaster of that site was the one warning everyone of an impending crash the day before it did take that massive plummet into the low 6's. _____________________

Very very laggy too. Rotating signs. As I write this, I'm hovering over Pak. Its typical of what a bunch of newbies would build on First Land. However, I'm scratching my head over why someone would build a "Cheap Signs" store here. Its kinda like trying to sell manure on an island made of dung. ![]() |

my old sim littered with all sorts of ugliness.
http://pictures.aol.com/ap/miniViewLarger.do?shareInfo=mFQYMXJcDsV8TVKNmHa7R2raW4nmG2I05hDIEl42hSeJJdNX5w59hg%3d%3d&cursor=0&mode=pause Worse thing was that ugly for sell shop. It always interferr with my builds. Won't say anything either way about my newbie building or anyone else because we got to start all over. Well maybe a little. I moved so I don't have photo but neighbors got really really ugly place. I figure the person learning. there huge circle sticking out of house with these gawd awful weird colored things not even sure what they are near my new spot in bluehound. Then there the rotating for sell signs of all sorts I wish I could buy all of them. |

this thread does not conform to the standards for this forum (Where you can ask other Second Life Residents for help on a variety of topics.) as such, i am closing it and referring to Linden Review. (i'll also submit whether it should be moved and re-opened.)
Torley Linden: Yes, this thread stays closed, this forum isn't for polls and contests — please read the ABOUT THIS FORUM at the top. I don't see what good comes out of calling other people's places ugly, unless you intend to help them get an xtreme-makeover (TM). ![]() _____________________
