Molay looked ok last time I was out there but there are a lot of plots for sale so potential for disaster to strike.

From: Chip Midnight Generally I think the older sims tend to be well kept and I think that's because eventually sims get absorbed by those who stay put in them for a long time. Newer sims, with more transient residents are more likely to see a rapid rate of change which leaves them more eyesore prone. Mainland sims reward the patient who are willing to wait out neighbors they may not care for aesthetically. Ditto! I've been in Europa now since I got my First Land there in 2004 (three years in the same spot). I've seen the whole area evolve into what it is today, nice quiet, and peaceful. When I first arrived, it was full of the typical new-resident builds (mine included). There was a giant castle wall along one edge of the sim (the castle in the neighboring sim), as well as a huge slot machine in the sky, spewing green particle clouds. There was a large gray wall, like two sides of a building that were left standing after a disaster... a bowling alley, and those newbie stores everywhere. Many people built in the sky, but not very high. Over the years, I added a few parcels to fill my small corner of the sim, and other long-time residents bought the rest. Now, it is what it is, still evolving, and still home in SL.

Gualala. It has shops and some mild SL ugliness, but overall it's nice and next to some major bodies of water (my g/f and I share a nice island there) for boating and sailing. I was able to go on a 5 sim sailboat tour before hitting a dead end...and that was only going one direction...I have 3 more left to check out!
It's also usually empty except for us and a couple other people which helps with building...so DON'T GO THERE.

I'm actually lucky enough to own land in 3 of the unspoiled mainland sims mentioned earlier in this thread. I've owned my first plot of land over 4 years.

The highest mountains and densest woods used to be the pristine Ruthenium, Rhodium, Osmium, Iridium, Platinum and Palladium sims. Rental land.
Unfortunately it's all been flattened and deforested by a Pride event...
I wonder if they'll ever be restored after the event and until the next time the land is rented.

I think (and hope) that many of the questionable sims will eventually settle down as people settle down and start to homestead- it may just take a while. If I can ever get my shop finished I plan on slowly weeding out the ad farmers in my current sim as much as my shop can support tier on. I'd guess most people are like this as their prim needs/wants increase they either have to move or buy out more in their sim. I picked a newer sim ^.^ While it's fairly ad infested along the "roadway" (blank green space bleh) there's plenty of room to grow.

Everybody is partial to their own sim. I live in Ranunculus, at the top of the North Continent. In the year and a half I have been there I have seen the sim cut up into small parcels, sold off, then bought up by a single individual who makes an effort, gives up, divides and sells half the region all over again. Three times. I guess its my turn now, since I have 14,000 sq m and considering more. The area is very pleasant for Mainland, I believe because 3/4 of the sim is owned by 4 individuals. All of us have worked together to preserve natual waterfront and wooded areas. We have created a functioniong roadway system and all of our builds are within reason. There is still one corner in the SW of the region that has not recovered from the last division, with a handful of 512s containing poorly concieved nightclubs and little stores and homes that have no merchandise or furniture. At least they don't have the prims to build a 60 m flourescent treehouse decorated with spinning logos.

Carlisle has only five and four of the five are consciencious and have a good ascetic eye. The last one has the smallest plot and his build, while boxy, is not too offensive.

Moolbora, where I live (you will easily recognise my place, noob construction - lol) near the lunarparc. for some reason people have bought land around me and just planted trees. No horrible buildings to block out the sun. I hope it stays that way!

Vyacheslav, of which I own a shade more than half. The rest of the land owners (most of them) have been great.

I would have to say Vine, at least along the road, and Minoa the neghboring Sim, they have their down sides of course.
Vine has largely tastefull builds, my neighbor has expanded her land from Minoa and set up a large garden lot infront of my parcel, she does wonderful builds. I do not mind looking at the Waterwall and Fountain shop across the street, it is not displeasing to the eyes either. Plenty of trees along the road. IT gets a little iffy and cluttered on the plots back from the road toward Obscure, but I guess it's good enough as I see plenty of 512M Lot prefab homes back there though they are a little close together for my liking. Downside is that many lots use their full Prim allotment causing plenty of "Can not enter because parcel is full" errors when I try to fly my VTALs in the area, there is a 30M+ ugly brick wall that runs along the sim boarder parallel to the road, a "Mini Mall", and a large, stationary yet still tasteful ad billboard which is not really that much of an eyesore really, just knocked because ad farms have given advertising a bad rap.
