From: Violety Damiano Well I dont know how to solve this problem? I have grafic card FeForce 9400 so it cant be the problem. Could any of you give me some advice how to solve this problem? have you got quicktime installed or enabled? If it's failing on the multimedia it's probably something around that. you really would be better off posting this as a separate thread.

From: Damien1 Thorne I figured they were trying to make this place so bad that we would be happy it closed. Given the forums have been running smoothly for quite some time, I would imagine that's kind of a desperate strategy. My immediate inclination was to suppose they aren't prepared to follow though with the courtesy of servicing the server or whatever keeps this dialogue going. I felt the need to post here because Void's comments reflect my own experience this evening. From: SuezanneC Baskerville There might be more than one person trying to archive the forums on their own, thus slowing things down.
Perhaps LL is backing things up. I'd like to err on the cool voice of wisdom here.

From: Brenda Connolly That is sensible, therefore not probable. Pulling the plug early is the sort of scumbag move I could see coming from M and Co. Anything is possible but unlikely. They didn't pull the plug on us until around 1am slt and originally they just locked everything and then archived later. more like it's the weekend and they are still too cheap to pay to run a 24/7 high availability support set up or they've just decided that the priority of support for the forum is low until closedown. I keep looking at they undying thread and wonder if you'll make it to 1 mil views before it closes.. sadly it doesn't look likely but you just never know.. you might make the forum self implode rather than allowing LL to do it eta: and they opened up the new forum around half an hour before they closed us down.

It's not just the forums. I logged out of the website today, and I couldn't log back in - not with an alt either - so it's more than just the forum that has a problem, and there's no way they would scupper logging into the website.
It turned out that, while I was getting default error pages (404 and such) when submitting the login form, it seems I was actually logging in and I just not getting a returned page. I'm logged now, of coures - hence I'm writing this - but I didn't get a returned page, so the fault still exists.

Do they have any of their colocation in virginia yet? We had a short power outage due to a storm about that time. My ISP is near where they said they were going and my email was all messed up last night.
