I'm interested in hearing something else other then bad things about SL right now, so what do you do in SL thats very, very fun? This could be anything to clubbing to roleplaying!

Personally, I love to Surf in SL, they made a Surf board that can float on-top of the water :O

Not that I'll Admit to Doing Any of This, but Purely Hypothetically of Course, it's great fun to flashmob the unsuspecting with 40 people running around playing the bumper music to Benny Hill, or perhaps a Light Cavalry Charge through their nightclub...

I club hop, Lucky Chair Hop, have shoot outs with the missus at the homestead, throw on demonic avatars and/or giant mallets and chase the kids and grandkids around the house and malls and such. Then there's basic building and scripting of silly little objects and gags, playing pranks on AFK friends and family, dressing up in a goth skin, mohawk, thong, chaps, and tiny shape and going to Best in Black contests, bull riding, and of course just hanging out chatting with friends.

Fun Stuff!

There is so much to do! I have gone hot air ballooning, amusement park, and to the beach for surfing (THAT was awesome!). I like to lucky chair hop when I have time.

I love checking out yard sales....I am a bargain hunter!

I have also gone tubing, the nightly fireworks display...and the usual club hopping.

I also love decorating my house, and have had many many parties up on the sky platform. If you are ever looking for something to do, IM me and you can come party with my friends and I.

When I'm not busy working on my business I normaly head towards the dark side of the grid. I've got a kinky streak a mile long, so the click click click of my stilettos can often be heard echoing around some of the BDSM haunts in SL.

All of the above and anything else I can find hehe

I also find plenty of time for mindless chatter and flirting... :)

The surfing is great and I finally took the balloon trip around Bliss Garden which was fantastic! Have you tried skydiving?

I love to Lucky Chair and Yard sale. I love to window shop too even if I can't afford to buy or have no reason to buy.

I collect furry and scaly avatars, so I'm always sniffing around for those, too. I prowl the big names, I search out the little guys, and my Quest for a Kitsune that isn't the Werehouse one is Eternal. (I even equipped a translator and went into Furry Japan, looking. I found a great gazelle, but no Kitsune.)

I love to hang out at Luskwood, where I live ingame. I just like the crowd that much, a bit unusual for me because at RL gatherings I'm the one hiding in the corner.

I've not found RP I could settle into and get my teeth into it, but that's on me, not the fault of the many excellent groups out there. It feels so /different/ from the MUSH environment I'm used to, I get a bit disoriented.

I'm somewhat active in Newbie Help, in self-defense, as the Ahern newbie zone is close to home and the poor things seem to wander into my home neighborhood lost. I have a "Here's some starting advice" document I give out that points to infohubs, freebies and the building tutorial and explains Lucky Chairs and Money Trees.

I hang with various friends from RL who live in other locations from me.

I've not really hit the club scene, but I've been considering it. I could bartend, I think - I really need a source of SL income, with my expenditure for avatars being as high as it is. I've considered writing for Lindens too. Maybe ad copy for people, good heavens, I've seen some sad advertizing.

(Avatar makers, I am a hopeless addict, if you really love me, give me discounts. ;)

I have dreams of being an Avatar maker myself some day. My heroes are the big names...I'd like to make quads, the four-legged avvies that are so difficult to find.

I'm in love with SL, warts and all.

My current joys are:

* Flying my Bell 47 helicopter (it's an old beater) at very low speed over anywhere, but especially the large sandbox areas to see what people are doing. The view is great at 50 meters up, especially in Mouselook mode...

* Hanging out in sandboxes where I can either practice building and scripting or dragging bits of freebie stuff out from the inventory on a platform to see what's what the hell I collected...and why... =)

* Sitting in Help Island, people watching, listening in and offering help...

* Sailing and motoring in any of my small fleet of boats, and finding how far I can get...and sailing in known excellent places like Nantucket...picking up unexpected crew along the way

* Filming and taking photos of nice homes, places and cute AVs I see...

* Dancing at clubs and raves

* Exploring islands far off the mainland

* Searching for stuff I don't need

* Putzing around my little house...rearranging the furniture (actually the furniture is mostly framed pictures on the walls)...standing back and admiring it...

* More sailing...probably love it the most...

I'm only getting started...

Skydiving, surfing, and visiting the International Spaceflight Museum are on the list...
and maybe riding one of those incredible horses at AKK Horse Ranch Island.

I mess with people on a different level. I'm a kid at heart, so I'm usually a kid av or sometimes even a teen. Actually, I'm more of a juvenile deliquent. I'm always moving around, dancing and sitting where I'm not supposed to. Yelling random things from a distance. Just kid antics when I'm not building or scripting.

One thing I'm uber infamous for is being a dirty little jungle boy. "Lord of the Flies" gets hollered in my direction quite a bit. I hunt wild boar at Apollo like this and it's a blast. Nothing like busting through the bushes on an unsuspecting couple and asking if they've seen any wild boar. A jungle boy has got to eat, don't ya know?

Another thing I'm infamous for is trying to sell fake identification cards to adults so they can get into adult clubs. "If you get caught with that, you didn't get it from me."

Another thing I did for a bit is try to sell condoms so folks wouldn't get a computer virus while having cybersex in SL. Too funny.

Just silly stuff for fun.

The cool thing is that everybody I've messed with has had a sense of humour about it.

But do you sell them to other kids? It's probably a big market, and you could make some Lindens while having fun. (There are lots of nasty rip-offs out there, but this is the sort of wink-wink rip-off that's fun for both sides.)

*waves to Infrared Wind* I've seen you out in Help Island Public! I do the same things mostly -

Hang out in the help areas, people watch, totally goof with griefer and spammer losers when they arrive...

When not there, I am building/scripting with friends in a hide-out 512+M over the mainland. It has a spaceport and heliport - just the thing to land my single seater attack chopper and 12 seater troop carrier in. I also ditch a hover car or newb-class C-Tech puddle skipper in there on occasion. I am an avid SL aviator having gotten my hands wet on the hobby IRL myself. I am a demoness of many trades! But the best part of SL is just hanging with the people.... when I am in a particularly benevolent mood.

With the events these past few months, I haven't pulled out my fake id in some time. I think it would be bloody hilarious for a bunch of kids with fake id cards to mob a strip club, but I'm sure it wouldn't end well (immediately, or down the road for the kid community).

In short, I have not tried to sell fake id cards to any kids recently. If I have in the past, it was months ago before the fiasco got serious. I honestly don't remember if I ever have tried to sell one to a kid, but I may have back in the day.

Some people have no sense of humour.

There used to be one -

Spitoonie Island.

Was right next to House of Blade Mall back before Islands were always "Islands" apart from the world.

It was close becuase it wasnt making enough money to cover its expenses.

Given simulator limitations, wouldn't a flash mob of 40 only be mobbing themselves?

still sounds like fun though :D

Well that's teh joy of a group IM and a community - anyone gets a zany idea, and they can usually pull in more people than a mainland sim can handle. :)

Responses vary; I've had nigh 60 people show up for some things; 20 is a slam dunk; it kind of depends when and who is online. Caledon's sims are set for 100 avatars; on my class 4's that's really begging for lag-death but on the class 5's a crowd of 50 is generally not too bad.

Another fun thing is sim openings. Sandbox em for a day or two with full damage, full 100m terraforming, and no rules. All the residents and regulars have a great time, because the usual griefer kiddies haven't figured it all out yet.

There's tons of stuff!

I like to build things when I can. While I do sell my stuff a couple of places, it's hardly a money maker (especially recently), and really is more for fun than anyting.

I really like good RP situations where I can really get into my character an have fun

I love spending time with my in-world family, especially if we're doin someting at the time together. Jes when were together we make each other laugh, too.

I enjoy exploring, especially when some new, super pretty place comes along. Big on my list lately has been Avaria.

I love to go to the Neo-Realms fishing, amusement parks (Prim Hearts!), and play with other fun games and toys.

I take tons an tons of piccies, and enjoy doing them quite a lot.

Mari

Since joining last October I've spent most of my time shopping or decorating my series of houses. (I keep getting bored and buying new ones.) I've spent a lot of time tweaking my shape, buying new hair, and putting together outfits. I've also played a fair amount of Slingo. (Why did they suddenly rename it, btw?)

I've spent a lot of time dancing in the nightclubs, but it seems pointless to me unless I know the people who are present. Some places I have gone repeatedly and never had a single person so much as say hello, aside from the host/hostess, who has to!

Recently (like in the last 2 weeks) I found a RP sim based on the Bonds of Beauty books and the original Brother's Grimm fairytales. A friend took me there, and we got a tour from a lovely young slave named zoe.

I applied to join, was accepted, rented a room on the sim and now I spend nearly all my in-world time there. It's not very populated right now, but they've only been going for a short while. (Since last November, I believe.)

This is my first foray into serious RP and so far I'm enjoying it. It would be better if there were more people to interact with though, so if you're into that kind of thing, c'mon over and fill out an application. They are actively recruiting and want new members. The worst they can say is 'no'. :)
