Calling Fur Folk And Nekkos!

Guys, I made a friend who is a fur person- I want to make my home furry inviting so- I spent about four hours all told between last night and this morn looking for fur-friendly stuff to scatter about. I found some lovely pose-daisies at Pillow Talk, btw- Problem is- I don't know enough about the culture so not sure what fur folk enjoy...

Where can I get nice furry and or Nekko pose balls? Thanks

You can get a rat on stick and other fun accessories at CatniP. Also, a swinging basket...she had a tire swing too, but SL broke the script and I don't know if it's been fixed it yet.

Jungle Voodoo has some nice pillows and kitty furniture. Miau Haus also has pillows, as well as a laundry basket, and there's more kitty furniture at LVS.

Just to point out - anthro furries and nekos can use the same poses and sitpos as "normal" avies.

However, stools and benches work better than chairs and couches with backs. Sitting on one's tail hurts.

Yes, and I am interested in that stuff for non-biped furries, the ones that walk around on more than two legs.

Here I am distracted by thoughts of dance animations I might be able to find (or not find) while the boat sinks.

The biggest issue with furries is the hair in the shower drain if you have them sleep over.

Just as long as you keep letting us come sleep over. I can shower at my place, if you prefer.

Don't run the vacuum cleaner when they're there. They'll either freak out or try to play with the cord.

Tree houses are nice. Fur rugs are not so nice. Also, the more uni-sex you can make it the better.

If you see a cat-centaur ... they are called chakat. Hard ch and a long A sound on the first syllible; CHA-kat. Call them that when you first see them and you will have made an instant friend. No seat, dance or other animation is taur friendly, however, so that alone makes them rare.

Does a cat-centaur have the torso, head, "arms" of a cat, and the body of a horse?

Awesome- a cat centaur! Wow- Today I was tempted to buy a Centaur avi for me, but I am still adapting to tht whole Daemoness Goddess thing- a mythical being's work is never done....

Yeah, pillows are good and I have several but I guess I was looking for entertainment factors- maybe butterfly chasing... I don't know.. just don't really know enough furry folk to be sure I am not committing some grievous faux pas you know... Like, when I first met my friend I had to ask if it was OK to say he was cute or would that be considered condescending- hard to make sure and not apply human-specific characteristics...

(I know, the mind boggles, doesn't it? I love SL!)

But - and here is something that floored me...I saw an avi for a Vampire Chihuahua.... ok, really...

That, in a way, is why I do not have "neko" parts - at least the cat/man hybrid version of neko. I'm a were-cat. All man, or all cat (except when I am transforming from one to another . . and SL breaks while I'm doing it so I end up half-cat/half-man).

I have some fur-friendly LMs i think, I will go through them when i get inworld. Most of them are for clothes and attatchments, not necessarily furniture or pose balls. I'll see what I can find though.

Soji, I think i saw Garrett with a quadruped dance at the hangout, she was kitted out as a big black cat i think. It was kind of a side-step shuffle, but it used all four legs. May be worth asking her about it. It was a while ago though.

Does anyone know where the petting animation at the hangout came from? The one on the beanbag style chair.

Chakat: Lower body and 4 legs, generally as a non-anthro feline, of many possible species (tiger, ocelot, mountain lion, just about any big cat) - Upper body is a female anthro version of the same species of big cat. The paws of the middle pair of legs (front pair of the lower quad) have opposable thumbs, like the anthro body has, though that pair of paws is more suited to walking on than to grasping things with. They are hermaphrodites (both genders present in one individual), and some tend to go in cycles as to whether they act more feminine or more masculine. The tend to be affectionate and polyamorous. There are pillows for 'taurform and quad furries, with animations suitable for them.

Seating thay allows for tails is nice, but we're kinda used to the tails sticking through the seat backs and cushions.

Abranimations and Friends has dances for tinys and for the extrovirtual quad ponies.

Pulaski Fizz's anim shop ("AV Puli" or something like that?) has some kitty and neko anims that I play with each time I visit; when I do, I think feline thoughts--even lacking a tail.
