guaranteed investment ideas ?

Hello Altic! I know we have talked about this in-world, but I figured I'd have my say here.

A lot of good advice already posted, nothing much new I could add except to echo what many have said, be wary of SL investments, and remember if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Hi there, has anyone got any info about midas bank?
the person it is owned by is also involved in quite a few WSE companies and does say how they invest the money. He also declares his real name and location however apparently his real name is the same as his avatars, so im not sure if it is true or not.

What other banks are there and info about them?

Only Second Life announced the official bank with such investment, then u can go ahead.

All third party investment is very risky!

Where do you see the bank borrowing money from people?

The people deposit the money they want to invest into the bank.
Our bank like many real life banks have investment plans to get a higher return on the deposits. Why dont real life banks say hey we dont want anymore deposits, we have enough cash now. LOL

I am building a business in SL, why would I want to borrow money from any place? I have not borrowed money from a bank since 2001 in real life. My plan is to get the SL business to grow on its own. Our largest depositors vist our projects and help with some of the investment planning. As they can see the growth of SL, they have ideas that we also will use in our plans.

Any depositor can withdraw funds from our bank anytime. And funny as it is, I see many customers deposit on one day and withdraw it all 3 days later. To only deopsit it back a few days later again. Maybe they are testing? Not sure. One gal told me she cant go shopping with all the L$ on her avatar, she would spend it all. So she uses the bank to help her from spending her L$. Whatever reasons people have to use the bank, we are still a business that will do everything to ensure customer service as top priority.

People who know me in SL will tell you I am what I am, nothing to hide never will I get caught up is some scam or unfair practices.

Again as others have stated, if you dont think it is safe, then dont use the banks in SL. If you do use them, be sure to maybe ask them to show you what they are doing as altic Plasma did with me. I took him to several locations and when he asked if he can get all his money from the bank, and my answer was yes go to the atm machine and withdraw.

We have a ratio of cash on hand to deposited funds, so any customer can take out 100% of the basic account balances (Not the CD's) at anytime. We have had days where the withdraw total was over 250,000 L$ and still never a customer could not get the funds from us. We do have issues with some of the sims we are on, grid issues with scripts. But with 7 bank loactions you will always be able to go to another location and access the atm machines.
