I don't see instances of terrain and objects appearing in the wrong place (wrong sim) after the latest update.

LL cares what we think. Why do you think they're offering Second Life Views? Any smart company pays attention to what its consumers want. If we make a big deal about releasing less buggy versions, focusing more on bugfixes before new features, LL would be smart to follow suite. If we don't care, LL won't care and will continue to frustrate its users with buggy releases that make people bitch and moan in SL, the forums, etc, grief SL (bring it down, hack it, etc), want to move on, etc. Yes, they are getting better, but it's only been recently (since right before 1.9.1 preview) with Milo Linden handling bug reports. However, I have to wonder how long he'll be able to keep it up, which is why I suggested opening the bug database to at least preview testers only for now... I am not going to sit here and say screw LLabs way of doing things. Users and people supporting compnaies always comes first, I never said i don`t care. My point is we do the best we can give the time period we are given. In RL compnaies face this issue everyday. Choices have to be made, even if it meaning releasing to early. Or they can chose to wait for the next patch. Milo has been doing a wonderful job filling hte bug reports. Lets just hope no matter what LLabs decides we havea client that not a total bust ( which it wil not be ). |

05-23-2006 06:36
Im going to try out what Hello tried and see if this is the problem, if this doesnt work ill contact you Milo. Thank You for the help (was getting worried I'd have to suffer through a bad release, but everything sounds great now) Ill keep everyone updated on what happens and post a seperate forum for ppl expereincing the same problem with their graphics.
...Just got done with the steps Hello told me to do and yes this solved my problems. So it wasnt really a release bug, rather a preveiw bug. Ill post a forum on this discovery. ThX again Hello. |
