Same here, one hundred percent instant crash after seeing a flicker of SL.

Well, at least I don't have to see any gray loading textures with white outlines.

Well i posted over here:
/290/cf/101305/1.html
on what now looks like the wrong thread, but I guess i am luckier than some, I have been able to get logged in to every alternating point release.

.11 doesn't work at all.

My machine with the ATI x800 crashes, but my old machine with the nVidia mx 440 can run the preview grid.

Same crash here, at 'connecting to region' time, only since 1.9.1.11. nvidia fx5200. Tried cleaning cache and disabling vertex programs before logging in.

Also crashing in .11 release, right after 'Connectiong to region', with ATI 9600XT. Tried disabling the Vertex Shaders with no luck. Releases .9 and .10 worked without a problem though.

A few different reasons seem to be emerging from your crash logs. I am investigating all of them and filing bugs. We should have them fixed asap.

The problem still exists in .12 for me - I crash before the world even starts rendering. Good luck with the crash logs.

Also still crashing, a couple of steps after 'connecting to region' now (too quick to read).

The preview version 1.9.1 (12) was still crashing.

I uninstalled the regular Second Life, reinstalled it, started it up, exited, and then retried the preview grid.

It worked.

Don't ask my why, or if it's repeatable.

I was experiencing the same crashing when trying to start the Second Life Preview. Repeatedly. I uninstalled both the regular Second Life and the 1.9.1 (12) preview and restarted my Mac, then installed only the Preview 1.9.1 (12) and it started up just fine.

I had removed both versions of Second Life (Regular 1.9 and Preview 1.9.1.12) and then installed Preview only and was able to start it. It ran fine. I quit Preview and installed the regular version of Second Life and ran that for a while fine. I then quit regular Second Life and attempted to run the Preview version again and crashed upon login. Repeatedly.

Ugh.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. Preview and regular SL both use the same cache? Could explain the observed results.

Hi ya folks,

Yes vektor has been working hard with the developers and build 13 had 3 fixes for login crashes, so hopefully everyone should be able to get in.
