*applauds*

I have to say, I have to make a note here. The post has clear-cut answers, an 'other' option, and worded to be neutral in tone! Job very well done!

(Seriously!)

Thank you. In order to get true answers on the issue I can't debate my own stance on the program here. Other threads yes, but I take unbiased poller seriously:)

Who knows what comedy lurks in the hearts of men? The ResMod knows!

I know that forum polls are generally considered inaccurate, however, I haven't really seen the numbers vary much between the three ResMod polls. If resident support for this program is a priority for the Lindens, they need to make a play for these perpetually undecided voters. What would these voters like to see before they are happy?

Sadly, I don't think the Lindens are much interested in how we feel about this program.

This poll seems close enough [21 yes to 24 no and a bunch undecided (or something like that)] that it could very easily be misrepresentative of the true forum sentiment. Particularly, since some people don't ever bother to vote at all.

Either way, your last sentence sounds good to me, particularly if you ditch the "about this program" part.

Actually, I have to disagree here. It seems they may be interested because somewhere, can't remember where but it was said that if this doesn't work out that there would be other alternatives. I took that to mean that if the ResMod system doesn't work and not accepted that they would end it and possibly close the forums.

I believe this, though I don't think I would run my own business this way.

This is true. However, it depends what the definition of "is" is, ya know?

I was kinda sorta on the fence about the ResMods, leaning towards dislike.

However, after the moronic censorship of Cristiano Midnight last week, I am convinced that it's a poorly-implemented program made up of people who don't have even the slightest clue of what their role should be.

Still funny drama, though.

This I agree with :)

Enabran, I agree with you as well. Its sad that the actions of one reflects all but it does. There is no adequate training obviously and to me I haven't seen an improvement in the forums either. At first it did seem like it had got worse with the RM program but now that the drahma of that has calmed down some its back to the same ole forums. :) Its not better, its not worse, it just is.

Not quite as funny as the closing of Taco's 'Russian Thread' - but yah.. still the behind the stage foibles of Cris's thread did have humor in them too

Just as an addendum to this discussion, last week's M2 web poll, which just ended, was on this same topic, and did not allow the "wiggle room" of an undecided vote.

Our results were as follows:

In favor of the ResMods program: 38%
Opposed to the ResMods program: 62%

Thank you for the stats on your poll pheonix..data has been compiled and now there is evidence when someone says the majority does or does not like the resmod program

Concidering the amount of people that visit the forums compaired to the number of votes in the poll, I would say the "majority" winner is clearly the option that wasn't listed...
  1. I don't care

Actually, after seeing that thread you mention Siggy, I really wish I could change my vote here from "yes" to "no". I had no real problem with our resmod overlords, thought it was a good idea.

Then I remembered how I have 3 different friends who are all "Live Helpers" and yet at least once a week I answer a question for them or help them out with something, ect... I (regretfully) looked through some of the resmod drahma I’d been avoiding… And immediately decided that my problem isn’t so much with the idea or spirit of any of these programs : I think the methods by which LL chooses people is completely screwy. (OMG, FIC!)

If you didn't care then why bother posting, except to gripe?

I won't rise to your bait except to say if you don't care then you aren't for or against the program and it won't affect you either way a vote or decision goes.

If you're refering to my post, then I didn't say I don't care, I did infact vote. I simply pointed out that the small number of respondants compaired to the forum population makes the "result" of the no votes being the winners a total falsehood.

Anyone who felt strong enough to vote 'no' got counted. Anyone who didn't care enough to bother to vote should be counted as "I don't care", which in the context of the poll "Do you agree with the rezmod program" makes them the clear winners over the 'no' voters.
