This question has been answered a gazillion times in this very forum now Here we go again: Install version 4.2 of libdb (Berkeley database Library) or symlink a newer version to 4.2. Details on how to do this can be found in one of the other threads. (do not take this next line literally but check back if your distribution has libdb version 4.3 and you are in the correct folder before running it.) Basically you do: ln -s /usr/lib/libdb-4.3.so SecondLife/lib/libdb-4.2.so

Time for a necro - this latest update, it's back to the black screen. I uncompressed it using tar. I tried the deleting of cache and the marker log, and still time after time - no luck. What can be some other soltuion to this problems?
