It's been two weeks since my search began and I had well over 100 entries! I know you've all been waiting patiently, especially those that entered very early in the search lol. Each person that entered will receive a notecard from me so please read that. The finalists listed in this thread will be contacted by me sometime this evening. I'll be needing some further information and more than likely I'll want to meet with you in person. Pictures only tell me so much about someone's avatar and there are questions that will do some deciding for me. Congrats to the finalists!
(but I will mumble that I thought maybe other designers with their own line might be exempt.) After "getting over my disappointment" I looked at the finalists profiles and found that I really was not the right type. That's cool. I'm all better now. I had fun anyway, sorry for whining.
Just my .02, and yes I am sad I wasn't in the finals. (still a little - can I get a hug? lol)
But I am glad for what I learned and I am looking forward to the PARTY! (still STOKED for this!)

Lizbeth, I didn't have any rules about other designers being exempt. I did take everything into consideration when deciding though. I figure it's up to the person entering if they're a designer and want to endorse my product.

Lizbeth, Saturday night would probably be a good night for me if you want to try and plan something for then . Midnite, it's totally not true that "unknown" people have no chance in SL. I'm pretty sure most of those gals wouldn't consider themselves "famous" and a couple of them are very new in world. I had to take into consideration schedules, proportions, and versatility. I don't expect nor want every woman in SL to look the same, that would be dull! I needed a body type that would handle different types of clothing very well and a face that would fit different hairstyles and makeup. I was also looking for someone with a unique look. I had to go through over 100 entries and YES I looked at each picture that was submitted to me. I had to look for someone to sort of "jump off the page". I had some people tell me that by entering this search they took a long hard look at their avatar and realized things they wanted or needed to change. I think that's great and of course it's always fun to change up your look. I just want you all to remember I can only choose one person and not being chosen isn't something you should fret over. |

Sorry Torrid, I don't build that fast. I won't be ready til after the Christmas Holiday and I doubt we'll get many to show on New Year's Weekend. I was thinking we could do it the following weekend, say Jan 7? Gives you time to pick the winner, time for me to build and time for everyone to be able to make it. I really would like to get as many entrants there as possible. I think it will be fun to meet everyone. I hope that's not dragging it out too long, I just won't be on at all next weekend as I'll be out of town and in a place with no connection. And I won't be ready this weekend. Any one else have input? I "could" slam something together, if I have to, but don't expect much.
