Alllllllll-righty then! This is it, short notice & all: Sunday, October 23rd, 2:30pm (Austintime). There will be a meet-up for all Austin-based (or Houston-based, or Dallas-based, or --- hell, why not? --- even Dimebox-based, and so on) SLers. And it's at that friendly little eatery on Barton Springs Road, The Shady Grove. And prolly? The weather will be PERFECT that afternoon! So come on down and meet up with Euterpe Roo and me, and who knows who else, and grab you a bite to eat while you're there, too (the burgers and the chicken-fried steak's supposed to be reeeeeeal tasty). http://www.theshadygrove.com/ Um ... RSVP! Memory.harker@gmail.com Oh yeah: Visual reference at Shady Grove? I'll be the blonde wearing the lab coat. (No, not a coat made from a Labrador Retreiver --- this is *not* a Cruella de Vil production --- but a longish, white, outer-garment as often donned in laboratories. cf. This Island Earth, the PowerPuff Girls, Genentech, etc, etc. )

I may show up. Depends on what else I've got going on that weekend... I *think* I'm scheduled to do a DJ show in-world that day around 3pm game time, so as long as I remembered to skate outta there in sufficient time, I may well be able to make it.

Haven't met any of you in-world yet, but I might show anyhow. I can always use a good excuse to eat at the Grove!

ooooh! ooooh! New friends!! Yay!! Maczter, Moira, Blueman--what a pleasure it would be to meet you if you can make it!! qDot--I am considering hanging out just outside of the AGC venue with my little autograph book. I would be the short, drooling chick with Denny's-waitress hair. (Sweet Coz, as it appears that I will be singing in public, have any requests? )

Ok, Erpe, after thinking about it, I'd like you to sing Blue by Eiffel 65 and do the SL default dances. Someone please tape it for me. *snickers* *hugs*

Would anyone like to buy me and Nala plane tickets for this meet up? I wouldn't normally ask but what with the disclaimer on Erpe's reply, I doubt I'll be seeing any footage of her song and dance.

10-19-2005 15:28
And when I say "boat" I mean "table." I'll arrive early and try to grab us a spot for, oh, about a dozen people. Lordy, lordy, this is gonna be some fun. YAY!
