Maybe we can each wear a badge with the picture of our AV's on them.
And I'm out in Suffolk County. A couple of hours from Madison Square Garden by LIRR.

Morning,
Yon Square Mile here (aka Hoboken, NJ), so meeting in the immediate area is OK for the afternoon. Not mornings however, as I work 3rd shift. Been to a couple of the places Hiro mentions, in particular the wax museum. Really cool place, and I need to get new pics in a few cases. It's still reasonably warm some afternoons to just wander Central Park. I think I spent most of one day just walking the lower 3rd, and have plans to continue that at some point. _____________________

Suppose we can always do another event later for people who can't make it. Alright, so ... let's see how many people respond, and we'll judge dinner / drinks by that? _____________________

Hmm...
The 12th is probably doable. I need a time and place before Thu if possible though, to see if it will conflict with another group I meet with RL (though in that case I may drop that or go late). *waves* _____________________

It's in Queens. Let me drop an email or three out and see if I can find a good place to meet - and reserve some spots. I think we should wing it as far as dinner plans go. _____________________

okay, so the actual award ceremony is Friday night, and during the day will be the discussions. Getting into that requires RSVP.

How about if we meet at the museum and do some of the events that they have there.... we can all meet outside.... set a time and we can all meet there.
We need the names of people who will be there so we don't miss anyone. You can IM me inworld or Misty Rhodes. We will have a list ready for Saturday. |

I'd love to go, but...as like *last* time, not while it's in NYC. There's more to the world than NYC, and there's more to NY/NJ than NYC. Atlantic City or even Philadelphia both are good choices.

I can't make it this time cause unfortunatly, I'll be at training the next week so I have to work that weekend.
But I hope to hear how much fun you all have and maybe I can make it to the next NYC get 2 gether. In the mean time I would like to get to know you all in our SL world.. so that meeting you will be even more exciting. So if there's a NYC Group in SL I'm so joining it... if not maybe someone will start one, and we can hang at some cool club in SL. Have fun everyone. Can I come hang out, listen to everyone, but not say anything like in the forums? Or is that strange? =) and Tin, if I was going to go I'd be doing the same thing, so you, Brooklyn Davis and I can all stalk people together at the next gathering... maybe form a kind of cool, weird, stalker like group, with Olympic point signs to hold up, for the people we're stalking... 10 points for a nice smile... 20 for a wink.... ![]() Later, see ya in SL |

We're definitely a go. I would recommend buying tickets online *just in case* the place is packed.

I'm taking the bus down on Sat, and should arrive at the machinima festival around noonish.
Hope to see you folks there! I'll be staying in NYC until Sunday late afternoon, so hopefully I'll hook up with people for Sat nite. ![]() _____________________

Unfortunately a meeting with another group came up for this afternoon, and between that and the festival's distance (even for Hoboken) via mass-transit is a show-stopper.
Sorry. _____________________

Well ... 10 of us got together ... Misty, Crucial, Sidra, Snoopybrown & his roommate, Pathfinder Linden, Ryan Linden, Eric Linden, and a guy whose name I forget (I'm sorry, I'm horrible with names!).
The Festival was fun, Linden Lab got tons of good exposure with a table at the entrance to the museum, and we went to Big Nick's in Manhattan for burgers. I had to depart, but the rest of the crew went to have drinks at Pathfinder's swank hotel bar. It was great to meet a few more residents and two more Lindens ... I continue to be impressed with what great people we have in our community! _____________________

Aw, man... Well, as my sig mentions, I'm in a volunteer group for Until Uru called the Honor Guard. This was initially the same type of guard in a Saint Pats Parade (which was a special multi-shard event), but we've been called on to visit in other capacities. Latest is a series of shard-visits in the last four weekends leading to X-Mas. ![]() Anyway, even if I could go I got pulled into work that afternoon due to an emergency. ![]() Would still prefer something actually in NJ. In fact I'm drawing up plans to try and run discussion events on 'meta worlds,' as I call them now, as a part of the Double Exposure convention series (they are all at the East Brunswick Hilton). Note that SL is not the only one I'd be presenting, though it would have a reasonable showing. More info (and a proper thread) once I check on some logistics at the hotel. --Alan _____________________
